  • Hey everyone, my boyfriend covered this song and did an amazing job. If anybody could

  • beast ass song ! :) love it

  • I love this song, band, and everything about it! This is actually my power-up song and this was uploaded on my birthday :D

Love you Fair To Midland ♥ !

  • Definitely new favorite band right after a day to remember :)

  • best band live, and in general.

  • "yo kobe how my ass taste" the immortal words of shaquille o'neal

  • His voice reminds of James Maynard Keenan of Tool and APC...

  • *reminds me

  • @saxmodeman82 man you always gotta find some fag on a video saying these guys are better than these guys! Its your opinion anyway and it don't mean shit

  • Who is comparing these guys to Protest The Hero...? Two completely different genres and it's completely unfair as PTH is very instrument centered whereas these guys have more of a melodic structure.

  • That guitar riff at the end of the song was fucking beast.

  • @koocooplatter I love that momentary sound affect that sounded like a fighter jet flying over your head between the chords. That just augmented the overall awesomeness!! That riff is powerful, yes.

  • I'm from around sulpher springs texas. I remember seeing this band play in little bitty venues before inter funda stifle came out. They sold out pretty hardcore with "Mayfly" though.

  • @tepidfaith sold out? im pretty sure when someone sells out, they do whatever they can for money without caring too much about the music. After listening to all of mayfly and most of arrows and anchors, they still have a love and sense of the music. Few bands do, and i can appreciate that bcuz after years of not actually having a favorite band and only liking music. FTM is my first fav band in a long time and for me thats saying something

  • @saxmodeman88 I also enjoy PTH too, but you can't compare the two. Apples and oranges, man.

  • @saxmodeman88 Well PTH are obviously more proficient on their instruments, but as songwriters, I prefer FTM.

  • @codfish6677 Protest is also better at song writing, but preferences are in-debatable, so I will leave you to yours.

  • @saxmodeman88 Why are you trying to push a fan rivalry? stop being a douche >.>

  • Am I the only one who thinking this version to be superior compared to FFAM version?

  • @kodiak423 I'll pass on that genre.

  • @kodiak423 I think the real question is why were you looking for Deathcore?

  • @codfish6677 AMEN.

  • I saw them last night, and they were beyond amazing <3

  • It seems like fate that I discovered Fair to Midland...I honestly owe my life to these guys, they make the most astounding music; there isn't a single song of theirs that i dislike

  • I wish they would have kept the heavy ending to this song for FFAM. Also I can hardly wait for their new album! It is coming out soon!

  • earbags :D

  • Just G.R.E.A.T!! Makes me vibrate like nothing else did since SOAD! Excellent music!

  • Just bought this album. I like this version better than from Fables

  • @scissorsinabox where did you buy this!! ahhh haha

  • @reefedbeats Go to Fair To Midlands official site at ftmband(dot)com and click on Merch.

  • god that breakdown ear jizz

  • One of my favorite FTM songs, but I like the FFAM version better too. The drums on the FFAM version are much more awesome and the vocals are more commanding.

These guys are the most awesome dudes around! My band has played with them before and they are super nice, friendly and down-to-earth.

  • i personally like this version better....

  • This band kicks so much ass. They are from dallas, which is where I am from. I am going to one of their shows soon.

  • @jacobbis4lovers They're actually from Sulphur Springs, a town outside of Dallas

  • Comment removed

  • @codfish6677 I was going to say fuck you, they're from Sulphur Springs, TX, not Dallas... but I had to refresh the song to log-in and post, which is never a bad idea with this band. So, Thank you.

  • I don't like that they took out the heavy ending in the FFAM version.... so glad they still play that ending live though!

  • Gahhh, I love you IFS but I can't stand this version of Walls... In FFAM he sings this song with such command and power, and I think the lyrical tweaks on that version really helped it. As it stands the FFAM version of this song is my favorite FTM song, so that may be why I don't like this as much as much of the rest of IFS...

  • @TeenagKam1kaz3 I agree with you completely. He does not have the same amout of emotion in the IFS version.

  • I saw them in Concert. It didn't sound anything like this. Eitherway, it was pretty crazy.

  • @Cheesekake343 theres two versions of the song and they change shit up live to!

  • @Ceeef5 No I mean his voice sounds a lot more... IDK. But I like his voice better live. It is so much more powerfull it seems. I like it better live haha

  • I saw them live yesterday :)

  • i also like the effect on the "ooh" part after the last another tomorrow before the heavy ending

  • Love it!

  • oh gott wie ich diese band liebe

  • brilliant

  • I absolutely love this song, I'm just disappointed they didn't carry over the ending solo from the IFS version to the FFM version... it's too epic for words. Gives me the shivers every time i hear it

  • hey codfish. are u and ceeef5 like duking it out or what? lol well anyways u have the better videos

  • @pathos6296 no codfish has all of the older ftm songs and demos like ifs and ccsl plus older live performances and demos while ceeef has the fables album and their new demos

  • Same, though both versions are amazing. Also, well put, Sapenti!

  • @Ireworks3 they are i like this version better because of the heavy ending

  • this is my favorite version

  • holy shit, I heard this version on Pandora after hearing it first on fables. this song is bloody brilliant... <3

  • This kinda sounds like placebo

  • when i heard this sng first time it remind me serj tankian .......... after while i was finding more info i saw they hv sing in with serj tankian so what u guys think it couldn't be random THOUGHT ....... i think they have something like that we felt & expected from system of a down yeah !!! i think they gonna be awesome. they cant be awesome like system of a down nothing compares to them. but they hv amazing they own path so wish u FAIR TO MIDLAND GD luck ......

  • I can vaguely see what you're saying, in the sense that they are saying poetic, seemingly non-sequitous lyrics in a metal like sounds. SOAD is more intense musically speaking. Serj is slower and less cryptic by himself.

SOAD/Serj is more original in the respect that FTM is mostly inspired by folklore, fables, and children's stories. But poetically speaking I'd say FTM is a lot more beautiful than Serj.

FTM is smart with heart; Serj is intelligent with heart.

  • I'm sorry, but I love this version so much more than the fables version. It's so much more real.

  • this band was an absolute find, i never would have heard this amazing song without the internetz!

  • At 3:04 the desperation in his voice is world-shattering...

  • why was the album discontinued? its there best one

  • @jdragon1012

because its was an independent release , that's why FFAMF is still being printed

but hey don't worry its being sold on their website

  • Beautiful. Don't get me wrong, I love Fables, it's just that I thought it was kind of over-produced. Darroh sounds a lot more unrestrained on this version.

  • Oh damn... I like the verse vocals on this version but the chorus sounds better on the Tales of a Mayfly version. Man if they woulda just perfected it a bit more.

  • break the ice with a cotton ball . lol

  • cotton swab

  • god these guys are even better live, and they are funny when they sign autographs

  • these guys are awsome live saw them at arts beats and eats in detroit with chevelle best free concert i been too

  • with chevelle!?

  • yea did u see that concert?fair to midland is pretty good in my opinion

  • No, but i wish i did. thats like my dream concert, them and hurt. i wouldve died to see that

  • if they come back u HAVE TO SEE THEM he was climbing up the speakers and singing and jumps off.

  • That's fucking awesome.

  • like what

  • whaddya mean?

  • This band is so epic, I'm not even sure if it's possible for them to actually have a bad song. Every one that I've heard by them is awesome.

  • theres something about inter.funda.stifle

it produces sad chemicals inside me

  • awesome band and this song thanks serj 4 tellin me bout them

  • Lies and slander.

  • I agree with you, I saw them at the nashville crawfish boil, the only bad thing was the crowd going "what are they talking about"

  • tall tales taste like sour grapes? look for one with lyrics so that it wont be a live version

  • boooooo, shun the non believer

  • I love the way he says "that renders our airbags".

  • this is the best band in serjical strike other then serj him self.

  • IFS version, FFAM version. They're both fantastic, but nothing is better than hearing this song live!! It's amoungst the best 5 minutes of sound that has blessed my ears :)

  • darroh's voice should be a new genera

  • do you mean genre? anyway i love this song and band. when listening its like each song has a story i can picture.

  • @jboii57 Genre. And I was thinking that too. He sounds like a combo between some of the new Progressive Punk bands (a.k.a Circa Survive, In:Aviate), yet he has this strong "yell" thats different and his voice goes low to.. There's all these people talking about the rest of the band and thats cool, but his voice is it.

  • @jboii57

  • so beautiful:))))im proud of being a human when i listen this music:]grtz

  • I live for the strong impact that renders both our airbags... THIS IS JUST GENIUS

  • every album is great

i doesnt matter how over produced or raw it sounds

    its just epic

  • i really wish they didn't overproduce this song like they did in fables. my main complaint being that the vocals don't blend with the instrumentals as well like in inter.funda.stifle. so it doesn't sound as warm and 'organic'. listen to seafarer's knot in IFS then listen to it in FFAM. you'll see what i mean. i still love both versions though.

  • agreed

  • THE FTM is a beautiful group. Darroh sudderth, is a god.

  • Amen to that! This guy can fricken do anything with his voice!

He's doing the falsetto AND the death metal grumbling, correct?

  • april fools and eggmen, walls of jericho, dance of the manatee, a seafarer's knot, orphan anthem '86 and An Occurance During the Restoration Process my favorites in that order FTM FTW!!

  • you have good taste in favorites...hehe.

  • what about A Wolf Descends Upon The Spanish Sahara?

  • Orphan Anthem '86

    The Walls of Jericho

    Dance of the Manatee

    See, Saw

    Quince

    In that order =)

  • This is their best song!!! Followed by Orphan Anthem '86 and Dance of the Manatee!!!

  • great song... This is in my top 3, along with Dance of the Manatee (of course), and April Fools and Eggman

  • What happend to the fuckin non-live version!

  • Their latest album was all over youtube not too long ago. Now I can't find any of it. It's all this older or alternative stuff. I assume youtube is just cracking down on copyright stuff, but I didn't think FTM was big enough to warrant that. Either way....sucks....I want the other songs back, better production.

  • This is awesome!

  • I think this version is way better.

  • Agreed. The newer version lacks the aggression that makes this version great.

  • Fair to midland is the shiz nit. LoL. They aren't that big are they?

  • thats one of the reasons there so great cuz there not killed the radio

  • i dont realy like this version

    but F T M

  • Such a great song.

  • yep u da man cold. Awsome song

  • praise the Lord for this band and codfish for uploading this amazing version :)

  • IFS version = So much better :D
