I watched this video a bunch this week... Finally went up today, and did this trick the whole day, and finally got it down, but it didn't feel right. When i watched the video of me, it turns out I was doing a BS Rodeo 540! Haha thanks a ton for the vid man, helped me LOTS
i have snowboarding like 3years for tricks and i have done like 720, 540,360,180, grabs, rails, but then i did a frontflip 360 and i broke my hand:/ i got a fear about it. now its full healthy and im goin' to do a kicker and a land with a meter/half fluffy snow. lets see what happends when i try this. oh yeah, really good tutorial, im givin a try for this one;)
@Ghillieguy08 Ya ok that's what I thought, I've never made a jump out of anything but snow. You could make a ramp out of wood and put some snow on it? Try and use a natural jump if you can.
this is the only backflip tutorial that i can even find and it helps alot now what you lable the difficulty level for this trick cuz im as flexable as dry wood so idk seems sketch for me
is it like a front flip where the momentum can take u all the way around because i can do fronts but im terrified to do backs. i can do backs on the trampoline tho and i really want to try a back
@musicislife2021 ALRIGHT, I'm glad you landed on your feet! Search my community page on facebook it's Snowboard Academy - Elite Snowboard Training Centre
I am filming all brand new instruction this season, as you can see these vids are gettiin old! Lot's of free training, feel free to ask anything on there and I can respond through video and post it to FB
@gymnastgirl500 Absolutely! It is extremely important, when I teach riders how to do snowboard tricks I always use three forms of training, fitness, focus, and mental training. The focus or dry land training part is doing anything you can to simulate the trick. You shouldn't try your first backflip ever on snow you should practice hundreds of times on a tramp first to get the feeling down and you'll be far more likely to land the b-flip and not hurt yourself
For speed take a little more than usual. Make sure you will make the transition, you get hurt coming up short. The jump doesn't need to be massive but big enough to get the spin around. I would recommend atleast a medium jump at first.
im trying these things next week but what makes it kinda scary is im gonna be doing them off of a 15-20 ft gap jump! =/ but they should still be pretty easy
if i have a decent sized jump in my backyard, like 3 or 4 feet high, how hard would it be to do a backflip? I can do a back flip on a trampoline pretty easily.
@pengod512 itd depend how much speed you have id try it at an actual park first at a resort i started landing mine yesturday i got it third try now im trying rodeos they arent that hard as long as you have speed and pop and dont pussy out
@SnowBoard1125 I can do them on pretty damn small jumps now, I would recommend a good size jump not too big with a lip, into a SOFFFFFFFFFFFT landing at first. Make is so soft you could land on your head and be fine. Once you get the first one out you'll have the confidence to land it if you didn't stick it first try, I over rotated twice before I landed it
@willstruke199 I say backflip but some people tame dog so easily. However most those front flippers can't do them off jumps, plus I think the back flip always beats the front
thanks man! who else can do one know?

@13adrenalinejunky I think difficulty is probably 6 out of 10? It's really the going upside down part and not freaking out that's difficult at first.
