Put ARP Studs, Black Onyx head gaskets and a bulletproof EGR cooler and the 6.0 will run as long as any 5.9. I agree the 6.4 was a joke, thus why Ford tore up there contracts with IH and built the 6.7 in house

Don't be a fanboy. Both the Duramax and Cummins are EXCELLENT motors, irrespective of Chrysler and GM's bailout status. The Powerstroke is great too, I own a 7.3. The only way you can go wrong on the newer diesels is buying an early 6.0L powerstroke and not changing out the EGR cooler.
Oh, and only recently did Ford start making their own diesels. International (Navistar) made them until the 6.7L.

My 06 Dodge cummins has 130k miles on original front end parts and tranny and i use it for construction. Off rd and bumpy conditions all day long. I drove f150 and silverado's that couldnt stay out of the shop. Hard to beat this truck so far.

bully dog is the worst programmer you can buy for a powerstroke and i think it only adds like 80 hp all the way up. Theres nothing wrong with a 6.0, you just needed a real one to slap that dodge........intake, exhasut, bullydog??? dude go home. Cummins blows but so did that ford with only that shit done to it

My 06 Dodge cummins has 130k miles on original front end parts and tranny and i use it for construction. Off rd and bumpy conditions all day long. I drove f150 and silverado's that couldnt stay out of the shop. Hard to beat this truck so far.

Anyone else think that Cummins should make their own truck? I love dodge, but my 6th gear clutch fucked up, and got it replaced. If Cummins did make their own truck, I think it'd be the best line of pickup in America. Agree???

i dont see why MOPAR doesn't fix their damn transmissions?! i mean they suck! i dont even know how to put it into words! ive been trying to save up (and failing miserably) to get a high performance tranny, the billet one, and get rid of my current one. im also saving up for stacks and will probably happen before a 2-3000 dollar trans.
