We need independence to avoid the cuts, grow our own economy (which studies reveal we could grow by 1% every year), make our own decisions, make alliances with other countries, and flourish as a nation. So think about your kids, they may want to go to University, this will become harder under the financial counstraints that the London coalition are placing on Scottish budget etc. Think about job. This can only be bad news for sectarianism in Northern Ireland and thus sectarianism in central Scotland. Having said that I feel an independace refurendum will be decided on constitutional grounds as opposed to the promise of a country which if independant will solve all it's problems

I love Scotland and always describe myself as British not English. I think it would be a shame as we are both stronger together but if the people of Scotland want independence then so be it.
They have their own Parliament and can make there own laws which the English do not. Scots can vote in Westminster and often vote contrary to how they would in there own nation like on Uni Fees. I think England would continue to succeed and Scotland would be like Ireland but still it is there choice.

Please think about it: This time its simple. We need independence to avoid the cuts, grow our own economy (which studies reveal we could grow by 1% every year), make our own decisions, make alliances with other countries, and flourish as a nation. So think about your kids, they may want to go to University, this will become harder under the financial counstraints that the London coalition are placing on Scottish budget etc. Think about job. The Tories are risking putting thousands out of work.

I know people bleat on about Ireland and Iceland being unseccessful but that is massively unfair because they ignore the majority of other small independent nations that are doing incredibly well. The idea of the union was to basically create a new nation, that was larger, and included the smaller kingdoms of Britain [England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales]. It was more of a political creation and not some new idea to erase scotland or england from existence. they still exsist, its jsut they belong to something greater.
