@Nickolas847 The British captured 13 naval enigmas all of which were before the 505. The British were routinely reading German U-Boat communications by Dec 1942. The 505 captured in June 1944 was little help.

Well, Britain captured the enigma, then you can't convert a completly different looking s-class submarine to a type VII. Also controlling those subs isn't that easy and can't be done by 6 persons. And the most important thing: the german U-boat captains were true heroes for the wrong thing, the presentation of the German soldiers in U-571 is so damn upsetting, remember the over 30000 brave sailors of german submarines that never returned. Watch "Das Boot", "U-571" is patriotic bullshit.

I know a studio made movie sub, when i see one. there's too much space in it. That was in Crimson tide, Hunt for Red october, and also this movie. Real subs are so crampy, you can't imagine.
