How do I know if my natural hair is damaged? Are there signs because when I was relaxed, you could tell by the ragged ends, but as a natural everything is so curly and......well you know.
Okay, may sound wierd, but you totally look like an African American Ashley Tisdale. I LOVE your hair video's an am trying to work a twist out as well, so this super helps. Thanks ^_^
you should be fine with a leave in..but some people like to condition and then put in a leave in, may want to try out both as you know your hair best :)
You're so right! You said alot of the things that I've come to realize... You shold have a few question and answer vlogs where you do more of this. I really liked your video, "All About the Transitioning & Big Chop (BC)". This video reminds me of it.
Not sure what your q is but if it's about matted hair, maybe you should try twisting it or doing large braids at night so you can fluffy it out in the morning.
If it's about your hair drying, you probably put too much product in your hair, gels make the drying process much longer than normal. After your wash your hair, let it dry 75% before adding product.
your twists look great - i love the updo and the flower - always cute stuff. so the KK & Knot Today worked out really nicely in the twist out - possibly why it seemed to be soooo light - it was quite bouncy in the video.
great video!! i heard that the kccc leaves the hair hard when its dry!!! i have found by ladykpnyc a great line of product called komazacare. and girl let me tell you that their coconut hair pudding is off the chain!!!! it enhance the curl pattern give great hold and don't leave de hair hard or crunchy! and the best thing is that their products are all natural!! u should definatly try their them.
if you use too much of any gel is makes your hair hard, moderation is key. i've heard of komaza products, haven't gotten any yet..perhaps in the future =)
aww i wish my hair was long enough to do twists but i just recently had my first big chop and im now just puting hair grease in my hair and picking it out. is this alright for just starting out?
grease doesn't really allow your hair to breathe..if it has petroleum or mineral oil in it, it's not good for your hair. I'd use some other sort of hair cream.
Nope never wore a weave before, only braids. Every once in a while I'm bored but there's quite a few styles to choose from so it's not really that big of a deal.
I don't know if you made a video about this but how did you style your hair when you transition bc my hair type and texure is very similar to yours. I NEED HELP!!! PLEASE!!!
please look at my channel page and my first video..I didn't transition really I just snipped out heat damaged/dyed hair. Try two strand twists, it's easy on your hair.
Great info! Have you used Kinky-Curly for a while and if so do you recommend their products? Also was wondering if you've heard of a products called Blended Beauty; if so what are your thoughts on their products?
I've only used kinky curly a few times, check my video for my review. I Haven't heard of blended beauty, so no comments on that line yet, if it's not vegan I don't use it but I'll check it out :)
Now you know I will want to see how the Kinky- Curly worked on your twist out tomorrow. :) If you would be so kind!!!! I have been debating on purchasing that product. Being a newly converted product junkie, SURVEY SAYS!! " yes" :)
i actually changed it last minute and put rollers in, so it was a sorta curly fro. But I ended up pinning it up. I think you can use the product in various ways.
With all due respect you are so beautiful.

do you or have you in the past dealt with dandruff? Love your videos!

thanks :)
my scalp gets dry when I don't get all the grime out during washing, when I do a thorough job I don't have to worry about it.

There's no future in the fronting, GF!!! LOL
You give some GREAT tips here. I learned the hard way that unraveling wet twists is a DISASTER! ;)
I have not doubt you will LOVE your KCCC twistout! Looking forward to the vid!

Do you ever add weave to your hair? And
Do you ever get sick of the same ole hairstyles?

Great info.
When I run out of Curls Whipped Cream I'm going to try the KCCC. Your hair always looks good.
I can't wait for my hair to get as long as yours so I can rock twists on their own.
MochaKnitster 3 years ago
nah love your hair length now cause you won't wanna cut it when it gets longer but trust me you'll miss some of the styles you can do now.
