@DavidClarkeBass I have a pink mark hoppus bass with Seymour Duncan spb-3 pick ups, GHS Bass Boomers medium light strings, and a Hartke 70 watt bass amp. It sounds exactly like mark hoppus live. I also have the same strings and pickup on my squier bass and it sounds extremely similar to my mark hoppus bass

@crope182 With the Ernie Ball stirngs, how often do you change them? Because when I use Rotosound or Fender, I have to change them regularly, so that they give a good crisp tone, otherwise they go soft and warm

@DavidClarkeBass yea u have to change them regularly. i use a sansamp bass driver so the sound stays longer.  in my most recent video, the strings are at least 4 months old

Look, if you want a good tone, put your treble half way, boost your mids, and turn up the bass knob ALL THE WAY. Also, turn the tone knob all the way up on your bass as well as the volume. Buy really heavy gauge strings and jam away. And most importantly, DO NOT wear cargo shorts. It makes you look like a queer.

that bass will have way more tone control than this bass...the sound u get with this bass will always be pretty much the same. i was able to get this this bass back way before blink got back together so it was a hell of a lot cheaper. i dont think the bass is worth $800 or w/e it is unless you just have the money to spend. the hoppus bass colors do beat all other bass colors hands down though ;)
