Pourquoi comparer ? Remedios Silva est une grande chanteuse, je l'adore, Yasmin LEVY est une grande chanteuse et je l'adore également, chacune à un style différent, ne comparons pas, elles ont toutes les deux un talent fou.
One of my favorite singers is ibrahim tatlises, with whom yasmin sings a duet with. They are explosive together. I thought I would mention that to all yasmin's fans.
@anrite1 I don't know, actually. It doesn't say. I bought it in Granada, as I said. It's kind of a big postcard and I can't really read the signature. it's A. something from 2008. Sorry!

the origin of this song is greek and its written by Giorgos Katsaris. This song in our country called "The Song of Gipsies". As Greek, I am very proud for this song but i cant resist in voices like Yasmin Levy. Just respect.....
@christylio " the origin of this song is greek ... ...The Song of Gipsies". (a year ago)
The origin of this song is Jewish- Andalusi, from Al-Andalus (today Andalucia, in Southern Spain) When the Jews were expelled from the Iberian Peninsula, they sought refuge in the Ottoman empire and many settled in Greece, at that time part of that empire. Their music and culture became part of Greek culture.
Her four albums since 2004 are outstanding (a new one is expected in 2010), but I miss a real live recording! Have seen her several times live and it was always wonderful! By the way: she is originally from Israel, but of sephardic descent and I apreciate very, very much the return of ladino-sephardic culture to Spain after the great loss in 1492..

Naci en alamo: I was born in Alamo:
I came from nowhere
I have no landscapes
I have no homeland.
With my fingers, I can start a fire With my heart, I sing to you -
And my heartstrings throb -
I was born in Alamo I have no place
I have no landscape even less I have homeland .
