Faggots losers druggies and drunks is what you find on Capitol hill. I bet some of them are still waiting for obozo to take care of them. Just like all the idiots in that crowd obozo is an abject failure
In some online communities I go to, people compared the partying after Obama's victory to the Return Of The Jedi ending in that each represented a major victory over something.
Ironic, because as the cracked.com article "6 most depressing happy endings" argues, the RotJ ending doesn't imply as much of a victory over the empire as it seemed to. Similarly, the Obama victory didn't imply as much of a victory over the far right as it seemed to.
The american people physically voted/put into power Obama, and we the rest of the world voted for him spiritually, telepathically morally. The world hated Bush and that night i slept so well and have been sleeping well ever since. And I am Brit by the way.
Actually, his popularity is holding steady and it will increase as the economy gets better under his leadership.
Oh, and one more thing. I'm glad that the conservatives have been completely discredited. The changes President Obama is making will be PERMANENT. Get used to a very, very different America.
well im not republican, but you are more than likely wrong, Democrats ruled in the 70s, but the Right took over in a landslide in the 80s and liberals became a bunch of extremist, now its flipped, conservatives are extremist and liberal is mainstream, 20 years it will be flippd once more, this cycle has happened over the last 100 years
Actually, Democrats didn't "rule" in the 70's. The Republicans held the White House 7 out of the 10 years in that decade.
What I meant is that the USA will be a very different country in the future because of what happened on Election Night. Like Social Security and Medicare, the changes being brought by President Obama will be permanent ones. Even when Republicans win again---in the distant future---they won't be able to get rid of what will be accomplished in the next eight years. Woo Hoo!
oh my goodness, this is beautiful and this was happening all over the country and world even, people celebrating obama's victory, at my home when they announced he won me, my family and our neighbors went nuts we were so happy that he won, truly an historic moment and a moment i will never forget as long as i live, dr. king would be proud, obama, obama, yes we can and yes we did, woooo!
Celebrating in the street was one of the best moments of my life! No one could contain their joy and it was beautiful. Now we actually have a chance for change.
This was a beautiful, unifying and empowering moment in American history and I'm proud to say that I was a part of it on Pike ST. and Broadway in Capital Hill, Seattle. Together YES WE CAN! Your VOTE is your voice. The people of Seattle have spoken and finally been heard. Bless our USA
I did not imagine I could be so happy... Thanks to all the americans who made this possible, who gave all the world a new hope. I feel it is a much better place to live. keep going, friends! and, yes, WE together can!
Me, I'm going to have a glass (or two...) of good italian wine!
I really didn't believe so many people could feel so much joy and pride. I am so happy I got to be there in the middle of it all. We have taken back our country. SEATTLE LOVES BARACK OBAMA!!!
I'm from Canada and I am really thrilled about this and I am so happy for all Americans. I am really touched by all of this and I'll keep celebrating for you guys.
I feel SOOO happy for you guys...in fact I feel choked up that I wasn't with you to celebrate this momentous victory. I agree with Marco0g. We Brits feel the same..for to long under the incompetent tyranny of Bush that 'special relationship' was falling apart..He bought your country to ruin amd made it the laughing stock of the World. Now with new energy America will become revitalised and I for one look forward to visiting my friends in the NEWnited States of America next year!! Party on!!
god, i would love to be with you guys right now... a poll from a german student community said over 90% of us support obama. congratulations to every single one of you, this is the start of a better and stronger relationship between the us and "good, old europe" :-)
i'm so happy right now, and it's so good to see how enthusiastic you are. have a great party... i'm going to have a beer on obama too. prost!

It's only the beginning. America will NEVER again be the country conservatives used to live in.
What a great, wonderful night. And again, the real good stuff is still all ahead of us!
