Google android and Samsung have to thank apple for what they are achieving..or trying to achieve . Apple has made most these rivals..step up their game. Its so much easier isn't it when you all have a common enemy? everyone works hard to beat the big bad enemy that is apple. But what about apple? who do they get their inspirations from? themselves most the time! they create the designs and items..while others wait for apple to create the idea/product first as they shamelessly wait.

@tenjinnim ok the only reason there is lag when you zoom in and out of or rotate a webpage is because all android devices reposition page elements while they run the animation for zooming in or out whereas all iOS devices take a snapshot of the page, run the animation with the image, and then reposition to give the illusion that it is faster when it is really jsut more efficient so essentially yes its the OS's fault for the lag in the web page not the devices (but flash makes a big diff. too!)

In my opinion, we must admit that this Samsung beats the Ipad. If we see better iPad is a way for Apple to sell products to companies.

I bought the iPad, and for experience say that the 4G iPod Touch is better.

If the IPAD is Wifi +3 G is very expensive and we pay a monthly fee of Internet per month unless you use the Wifi. This Samsung is a beauty, bought it three days ago and I say with all certainty that my iPad will be sold. xD

and of course the new tablets have more features, what they do is to take an iPad and put in what they think it's missing. Just wait for the 2nd gen ipad, and again, others 1:1 copy but added some other features, and a shitty OS.

Hey, I know you're just trolling but let me correct the misinformation you're spewing into the general public's face.

YES - it can fit in your pocket. It was specifically made as a 7 inch display for this very purpose. I've actually measured the dimensions myself and it fits in my pockets comfortably.

YES - there are things that make it better than the iPod Touch 4G. Here's one: GAMING. iPod Touch graphics? 28 million triangles per second. Galaxy tab? 90 million. Over 3x better.

The iPad is definitely overrated. But so is everything. It still has its place. I've developed a few iPad apps for work and they're quite handy - our consultants use them to 'wow' customers. Silly, but if it brings in the bucks as a gimmicky 'point of difference' over our competitors then we'll do it. Nature of business my friend.

Still, the current crop of Android devices out-strip Apple's quite handily in the hardware department. And, having developed for both - I rather the Androids

iPad's user interface feels smoother to me. The Galaxy's rotation is more abrupt and the zooming feels a bit rough. Maybe Apple has got multi-touch better figured out.

That was definitely not a swipe fail. Notice the previous swipe to the left.

3:18 slight delay of swipe after rotation. Software updates are always there, so you can't really make a decision based on one video. It's just a matter of style and size right now.

I still believe Apple has a huge advantage with iTunes, iBooks, etc...

The U.S version of the tablet cannot make phone calls. They cut that feature out. I wanted that phone feature for driving purpose. Euro version can still make calls. U.S version just released today that you cannot make calls using the tablet. Only video calls with software is available. SAMSUNG U.S version just lost the only thing IPAD dont have.

You got to give Apple credit though. Apple always comeup with the coolest gadgets that sets the bar. Others simply copy it and put their label on the back.

Think about it, they are the innovators. Phones looked same for decades until Apple release the iPhone. Now every smart phone looks like the iphone. No one would have taken a chance with a device like the ipad other than Apple.

Since you can call and text with it, it's basically a cellphone with 7" inch screen. Very, very nice, but also very expensive.
