unfortunately (or fortunatly depending on how you look at it), i think Python was a totally unique comedy troupe that we may never see the likes of again- they were unarguable geniuses of the art. i mean really how many shows/comedians come even close to this level of silliness/absraction while maintaining gross hilarity. some make heroic attemps, but they never quiiite hit the sweet spot.

I remember this expedition well. When they first announced that they would attempt this climb, nobody believed they were serious. Only Bert Tagg survived the fall, the other members bounced off of the curb of the gutter near Lewis's..., they didn't slow down until they hit bottom.
