:( i wish we could take my dog to a dog beach during the day, but she gets so territorial with everyone! she hates other dogs and strangers and she always tries to seriously injure them. shes an 80 lb american foxhound, thigh height; we cant always wrestle her away! :(

One thing though....the golden dog you are seeing at the beach, that's not a lab, that's a golden retriever. the way you can tell is that golden retrievers have longer coats. Labs have short coats. I think goldens have a teeny tiny bit longer ears, that's the way it always looks to me, but I dunno.

im never taking any of my dogs i ever have in my life to a beach again. my poor dog ate something toxic or something like that on the beach and we didnt see it happen and she got really sick in the middle of the night and we took her to the vet and they said she would be fine and the next day she died... anyone who takes their dog to the beach PLEASE watch them at all times and DONT let them eat anything :(
