  • My Australorp never comes to say hi when i go in my chicken coop when all the others race up to the door how do you get them to come out?

  • @PinkOctopusFilms I've only left the door open. Then they go out whenever they want and back in at sunset.

  • @helgestova Weird i do tht to but I also go out every day to play with them but my australorp never seems to care only my buff orpington and my barred rock care

  • Yep, they are fine chickens. I have four pullets in my yard, and they seem very hardy, active and easy to raise. I'm looking forward to lots of eggs, if their reputation is as I have heard!

  • @kierstencd They are good at laying eggs. Six eggs a week per hen. Now I get three eggs a day, but I hawe two hen chickens who also will begin to lay eggs one day. Fortunately I have relatives to share the eggs with.

  • these chickens are the best breed I've owned!!! sadly I lost my hen due to a fox. I miss her a lot, and is currently waiting for either the store's to get them or the fair which has loads of different chicken breeds

  • thanks for posting this. i it has been years since i last saw one
