Van Persie has always been Better, even when injured most of the season he came back greater than Rooney, Don't get me wrong I think Rooney would play in any team in the world. But at arsenal he would be on the bench behind Robin Van Persie (in the current formation)

Rooney is faster and better control. He needs to control his temper though.
van Persie is better in finishing, composure and a regular goal scorer (Rooney always have problems scoring in a certain period of time in EPL every year)

In the 2010-11 season Van Persie scored more goals than Wayne Rooney and Robin was injured at the first half of the season, which shows you the level Robin van Persie is at comapred to Wayne Rooney. Van Persie is better than Rooney in my opinion. Rooney is just over-rated and over-hyped cuz he's English.

RVP is Injury prone. RVP has better vision. Rooney is an all rounder player ST CM DEF, RVP is best at CF, ST & wings. RVP is so much better at free-kicks than Rooney no argument. Rooney work-rate is a lot greater than RVP. Both players coordinate plays very fantastically. Rooney is unselfish player. @JulianProducts What? Van Persie is the best player in the EPL and quite possible the best striker in the world. No offense to Arsenal but they are a shit team but RVP has scored more goals than any other player in the world apart from C Ronaldo this year.
Thats not counting how much better Real Madrids midfield are at creating chances for Ronaldo etc.
Its a remarkable feat to score soo much for a mediocre club.
