garageband isnt a bad tool to use for music production.right now im using reason 5 and what i found out about the 2 is that you come out better importing your drum kitz instead of using factory sound....another thing is mix & mastering...hell i produced a couple of group cds before learning reason 4 & 5. oh yeah logic is pretty good as too!

@CalisCool No no no man, if you are spending money, then Logic Express 9 is the sure way to go. Most top industry producers use it, and it will be a smooth transition for you. Best $200 you will spend.

@SlumDawg26 I just left garageband and started using Ableton and it's been a pretty easy transfer. I suggest watching a couple of the tutorial videos here on youtube (lots of help). But if your just trying to make dope beats in your room then ableton 8 rewired through reason 5 is the way to go. If you have Mac I can get you both programs just let me know :)

As for your question, I believe you are talking about exporting the file. Go to Share (at the top) > Send Song to Disk (or whatever it says with those words). Then make sure you encode with AAC Highest Quality, and the quality retains. :D
