My horse used to be stabled with Odon when Odon was just a baby. They were great friends. Once cheeky Odon even nibbled off half of my poor horses forelock! (a continuing trend with his new stablemates) He looked so silly; Odon is a wonderful young horse with great spirit! And he's very cute!
Have you tried the equi-spirit ball, they say they are very durable...may be cheaper in the long run for you! These balls look like fun, I'm thinking of getting one myself after seeing all the videos!

I have just watched Oden at play from a very stormy Island of the coast of Scotland and he cheered me up no end, he is lovely and it is good to see a happy baby.
