  • red bull energy drinks is not good for gout

  • Step 1, buy pH testing strips

Step 2, buy some Bob's Redmill Baking Soda

Step 3, dissolve 1 tsp in 1 glass of water and drink

Step 4, Repeat (2 times a day) until your pH is neutral

Step 5, Monitor your pH and cut out sugars and enriched grains and ALL wheat. They make your body acidic!!!!

This worked for me and I also cured my 15 year bout with athletes foot at the same time.

  • cherries-they absolutely work for me pre-even as a post attack solution-but this will take about a day or so to heal up

  • "Tomatoes help goout"???? Tomatoes are one of the first things to avoid because they have so much uric acid.

  • Oh shit I drink beer every day I should probably stop.

  • I have gout, it's 230 am and here I sit with it. It started a year or so ago in a big toe, now my whole side of foot hurts up my leg, and cant hardly walk. Cant go to doctor, no insurance. drinking lots of water, any other ideas to stop this without meds I cant afford ??

  • @12342321 well go to emergency room. I have no insurance. I had appendix removed, they charged me 35,000 dollars, had to apply for help at finacial office. 3 months later, bill wiped clean.

My point is, go see a doctor.

  • Well I guess I won't be having my bacon, beer and steak sandwich for lunch!

  • allipurinol (sp?) seems to have helped me thru this round. Looks like I'll be taking it from now on. I won't complain if it prevents this !

  • genetics are a factor with gout. three out of six members of my family have gout.

  • @romerogypsee1 wrong, don't blame genetics, what runs in the family is your eating habits. You're eating things that cause gout and ill health.

  • español

  • I'm just curious. Haven't had an attack in almost a year until today. Strange thing is tomatoes are coming in and I've had my share in the last few weeks. I'm beginning to wonder if there's a connection?

  • @steve0308 I've read where if your body is very acidic, you can have gout flare ups. So, tomatos, being acidic may contribute. I'm in the middle of an attack right now. Sometimes trauma to the joint will trigger an episode, too, and that's what I think happened to me this time. Good luck, I can attest to the agony.

  • @steve0308 . I can personally verify that tomatoes can trigger a gout attack . Once I avoided eating tomatoes, the swelling of my toes decreased.

  • Just had a gout attack last night. I am still in pain. I've had it for 3 years now. Its a once a year thing for me and I knew Im gonna Im gonna have it again when I had chicken liver, intestine the other day plus beer. Sucks to have one.

  • I eat lots of bacon. I never get gout. I wonder if there is a genetic propensity toward gout?

  • @dsrtflwr There certainly is. My father had gout attacks and I have had gout attacks too. Very, very painful. You're lucky not to have it.

  • Tomatoes belongs to the nightshades family. It can raise the uric acid level and cause gout attacks.

    Don't include the tomatoes.

  • @lanaowest tomatos are acidic when there cooked. so i'd say stay aways from soups, sauses and salsa thats been cooked. not fresh

  • @mabus3 I didn't know its okay to eat tomatoes (for gout sufferers) as long as its eaten fresh. Thanks for the info!

  • @lanaowest ever once in awhile i'll eat the store bought salsas and i've never had a problem with it messing with my gout. mine is usually set off by red meat and pork.

  • @mabus3 use DMSO to break up the crystals around the joint that cause gout pain

  • @mabus3 "they're"

  • Annoying music.

  • stop with the 17th century remedies already and consult your physician! there is medicine out there king leer!

  • @goldendoomer really thats the problem everyone acts like its a big mystery and wants to be medicated. change your diet .Thats the root cause

  • Try cold fresh filled bottle of cherry juice- not like the heat filled sediment free kind that kill all the properties

  • Sure about the tomatoes? Cherry tomatoes bring gout on for me...

  • @crocfme: Take a look at the naturopathic approach I give to my clients who had gout; I will leave it posted for a few days only.

  • @4chango

Thankyou, I'll certainly give it a try. It sounds healthier than my current daily regimen of prednisone, colchicine, indocid, zyloprim and brufen400s!

  • @4chango try DMSO with water added to break up the crystals formed around the joint that cause gout

  • @Intoxified1: This is not all true some DMSO can have a toxic effect. Also if you take DMSO at .3ml/kg in body weight it can cause neurological issues. Plus keep in mind that I am a naturopathic consultant, the regimens I post here are for free and to help others. I personally do not have gout, but the regimens I post are the same I offer my clients.

  • @4chango We're not talking about injecting 20ml of straight dmso here! Just rubbing it on the skin. Hello???
