    I AM THE POKEMON MASTER

  • why he kill him???

  • The way Daniel imitates Eli's "song and dance" cracks me up every time!

  • Daniel Day-Lewis was incredible

One of the top 5 movie endings of all time

This film was a total snooze.

  • I dont get it why didnt he fight back?

  • I just watched Mario vs Sonic from HotDiggedyDemon, and decided to watch this video, and I had a good laugh

  • Anybody else act like this after 10 jagermeister?

  • This scene basically sealed this as the greatest movie of all time for me.

Religion is a lie that bends to the will of the almighty and insane Capitalism.

    The End.

  • 0:35 HES A SPYCRAB!

  • One last comment.

I LOVE the way the Paul Thomas Anderson uses long take camera sequences in his films. For example, the opening sequence of Boogie Nights.

The long take sequence that took place after Daniel struck oil in Little Boston was absolutely mesmerizing. It also had a very Kubrick like feel to it. Master class!

  • @theandyman1000

The closing line sealed the deal for me. In my mind, their greed killed both of them.

  • @xxmeowthxx

Daniel and Eli came to blows many, many times as the result of a greedy power struggle fueled by oil and money.

In the end, their compromised morals lead to their demise. While Daniel is still breathing, he is by no means alive. He achieved his dream of becoming a recluse and became an empty shell of a man. In essence, they both died.

  • One of the best ending sequences in Cinema history. Two very different men allowed their greed, power, and cowardice, to ultimately become their demise.

Both men compromised their morals in various ways, thus turning their ultimate achievements into the primary source of their demise. I felt that the closing "I'm finished" line was brilliant, signaling the release of Daniels last real obsession, thus further sending him into a deeper spiral of depression and sealing his fate as a sad, bi

  • @Tkraemer81 I don't think Plainview had any morals to begin with; actually, his actions in this clip aren't in-congruent at all with whatever "moral standards" the character has set up for himself over the years.

  • Why did he kill him?

  • 1:45 his collar is up, but 1:56 his collar is down. Da Fuq?

  • Retired priest *turns to movie channel*

Daniel plainview: IIII aaam the thiird revelation!!

  • Thank god he killed him, I couldn't take any more of his pussy ass girl moaning!

  • @xTruncz 1:20 - 1:23 - 0:50 lol

  • AcrOOOoooOOooOoosss the room...

  • Made me cry

    Bets movie ever.

  • I've listened to so many versions of Brahm's violin concerto's, but this is by far the best.

  • I. DRINK. YOUR. MILKSHAKE!

    I DRINK IT UP!

  • @dulcinearenee

    DON'T BULLY ME DANIEL!

  • I guess there was blood.

  • Did anyone else find this part funny or is it just me?

  • @anojan1991 I loved it , I would love to see the look on a priest face watching this hahhaha

  • @anojan1991 Anything serious taken out of context can be funny. A joke taken out of context is rarely funny.

  • at 1:15 eli is on the right, but he somehow teleported because at 1:18 he was on the left

  • @Zooroonies u would crawl that fast too if someone was trying to kill you.

  • @gaurav1221 ik dude, i was being a smart ass, im not stupid

  • cain and abel, right?

  • Fantastic ending! ^_^

  • @omnicowdemon It always makes me laugh! Such wonderful closure! XD

  • There Will Be Blood is a very smart movie title. Because with the beginning of the oil age, wars were fought over it... there would be blood.

  • When acting goes beyond that and becomes art! Day-Lewis kills it as a calmly menacing, slightly prickish man waiting to explode his maniac side and Dano is not bad himself as a pretentious preacher whom schemes and snivels his way to a pitiful end. Wow! Love this film!

  • That shot of him sitting in the bowling alley out of breath next to the lifeless body of that annoying overzealous preacher Eli, turning his head and saying "I'm finished" and then that music will forever be etched in my mind as one of the greatest scenes in film. Paul Thomas Anderson is a brilliant film maker.

  • I remember when the scene started I was like "What the hell, is he really gonna make a deal with that pathetic whiner Eli???" Then this happened.

    And I was VERY satisfied.

    Epic finale!

  • Very Kubrick-esq ending

  • DANIEL DAY-LEWIS IS LEGEND !!!

  • Who else loved this ending?

I mean the little prick had it coming.

  • THERE'S the blood!

  • Name of the song in the end please? :)

  • @colaontheinternet Brahms Violin Concerto 3rd Movement

  • @Toukyfriz Thank you! :)

  • @colaontheinternet description song.

  • most satisfying torture-murder i've ever seen

  • 0:57 awesome.

  • Daniel Day Lewis's acting is fucking insane. God damn, he IS that character.

  • one of those WOW scenes in movies. Young Paul Dano holding his own against Day Lewis!

  • @Arre1994 If you don't know yet, you can deactivate subtitles by clicking on the "cc" button.

  • @Toukyfriz ehm yes I know? I commented on a guy saying you trolled everyone with the subtitles. And I said that you didn't...

  • THIS. IS. SPARTA!!

  • One of my favourite scenes ever. It has the drama, the seriously black comedy (For me at least), the lust for power, solitude and his eventual turn to madness all twirled into a whimsical yet serious ending.

  • I catch your Pokemon!

  • Seriously, how the hell does Eli get his ass kicked by Daniel. The guy's old.

  • @Motion63O

Well, Daniel isn´t that old. He's just ruined by his heavy drinking and deep misanthropy. But, even so, he's not refrained by any kind of moral, or fraternal bonds. That's why he first humillates Eli and then sets on to destroying him in such a horrific way. Years and years thinking over and over about it and, finally, he gets his chance to crush that little bugger.

Eli was a conman. So was Daniel, but he had the nerve to go medieval on Eli.

  • The final camera shot could have been one of Kubrick's.

  • Daniel Plainview in "There Will Be Blood" and Bill "The Butcher" Cutting in "Gangs Of New York" are the same character except for hairstyles and accents.

They're both complete sociopaths with really big mustaches.

  • @DaveJ721 the mustache is what makes him great

  • @DaveJ721 And they're both Oscar winners/nominees ^__^

  • Haha... I like smosh's version. I CATCH; YOUR POKEMON!

  • @Beer1584 *brilliant

  • Gawd, I LOVE this film! Even the conversation Eli and Daniel had before he got on the whole milkshake thing is fantastic. Such a beautiful ending, the music is just perfect! This is on my top 5 fav films of all time.

  • @MRFLOPPYmr Thank you. But it's also a good way to learn french and vice versa. :)

  • whenever i'm at the club, i dance like daniel plainview dances

  • so kubrick like at the end

  • lol :) brilliant...

  • Did he just kill him over a milkshake?

  • @rachelfrench1992 no its a metaphor to describe his drilling and how he owns all the land around a piece of oil therefore he can steal all the oil underneath the land he doesnt own

  • @rachelfrench1992 noo hes giving an example about something

  • @rachelfrench1992 Yeahh...you should actually watch the film...

  • @rachelfrench1992 It's a metaphor if you watched the previous part of it. It's actually quite crazy which is why I love this movie so much.

  • @rachelfrench1992 no it is a metaphor you need to watch the whole movie to get it

  • Best movie ending ever.

  • @irbobable well, i guess they wernt lying

when they said there will be blood

    YEAAAAAAAAAHAHHHH!!

  • @irbobable Couldn't agree more
