  • Dude they looks so kick ass just standing there!i mean seriously they probably have the greatest image in Rock'N'Roll history!its simple affordable not too flashy you can wear it anytime and feel comfortable and its a classic look and it fits those amazing sick heavy bubblegum pop tunes

  • @RamonesFreak566 Right. The MTV music videos are actually just a fashion show.

  • @Bureyeanne oh well i guess?umm i never watched nor cared for MTV so i wouldnt know but if im coming off as someone who cares more for fashion than the music im not i just felt like stating that the ramones looked totally kick ass in this video

  • @RamonesFreak566 There is a reason they are in the Rock and Roll hall of fame.

  • ODOYAL RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 0:36 Dee Dee looks so adorable. and Johnny is well, Johnny. Being Johnny.

  • It's so interesting to see Johnny always looking at Tommy to tell them what they should do. Even if they should sit down on the bed or not it's all up to Tommy. I had heard that Tommy was in charge till he left and that's when Johnny took over and I always had trouble picturing that, but this video shows that Tommy really was in charge.

  • @TheLostIdea I suppose they were just famous enough to make the evening news. However this is probably the Timbers Inn which I'd put at maybe 2 and 1/2 stars. So this shows a slice of what life was like before they hit the big time.

  • @Bureyeanne - In the video Johnny says that they've been together for 3 1/2 years, so that would make this 1977 and Tommy left the band in 1978. They never hit the big time as much as they should have. They didn't usually stay in expensive places when they toured the US because a lot of times they were playing clubs and small places. The reason they were always touring was because their records didn't sell really well and Johnny wanted to make sure they would have money when it was all over.

  • I love how shy and awkward Joey looks, he really blossomed in life

  • dude, go steal some more Ramones vids. NOW!

  • I found the footage only days before I quit. But I know there is more on the reel just gathering dust. It was just labeled, "punks". I wish I had started steeling footage sooner than my last week :( however, there are miles of crap and just nothing at the station. So sorting it all was very labor intensive. Plus copying it twice without being noticed not an easy task. If you ever find someone who works TV news, have them check out the archives.

  • great..!!! congratulations from argentina

do you have more ramones videos like that??????

  • Well sort of. There was a few more clips of the Ramones on this film news reel. However I just so happened to quit the night I found this. You would need to contact Chambers Communications Corp. It is listed in the archives under the name, "Punks".

  • Brilliant!

  • very nice footage!

  • I didn't recognize the band at first. It was on a film reel that just said, "Punks" guys wearing black leather jackets and jeans could have been anyone from that time. I which I had boosted the audio. Basically they said that they are a Rock and Roll band but Punk is an attitude within Rock and Roll. That the name came from an article (I assume Rolling Stone Mag). There may have been more footage but I was lucky to steal what I got. To think it is just collecting dust in a newsroom.

  • It makes you wonder what other amazing bits of footage is just collecting dust. I thought I found a very valuable film that same week going through the archives. It was labeled, "Elvis" (knowing that archive footage was recently found and sold for about 1000 usd per second. However it was just some very fat guy in his living room with his wife an kids playing back up I assume to an Elvis song.

  • very cool, Keep Looking, you'll find another holy grail, I'm sure!

    All the best, Wayne-o

  • I always wanted to see some footage of the ramones in Oregon. Thanks. Where did you find this?

    Johnny777Juke

  • They probably played at the WOW Hall that night. Notice no press agents, no security, no go to men. No groupies...and they have to make their own coffee.

I would have been 2 when the show hit. I am sorry I missed it.

  • That is some great footage! I like the mysterious smoke/steam coming from the bathroom area.
