I attended a Dan Gable clinic in 1976 in Naperville, Illinois when I was 15 years old. During one afternoon session, he picked me to demonstrate a move and effortlessly tied me up like a pretzel and dragged my face across the mat....leaving a bleeding mat burn under my chin.

I picked that scab every day for weeks and years later proudly showed my sons the scar that Dan Gable gave me !
