And yes stock Porsches, Ferraris, Vipers, and Lambos are very fast cars which is why you usually have to mod a mustang, trans am, supra, etc to surpass their level of performance.
The 360 Spider makes 400 horsepower and weighs a few pounds less than 3200. It runs the quarter mile in under 13 seconds. TA's a GREAT car for what it is, but don't kid yourself with all this American muscle > everything else garbage.

The 360 Spider makes 400 horsepower and weighs a few pounds less than 3200. It runs the quarter mile in under 13 seconds. TA's a GREAT car for what it is, but don't kid yourself with all this American muscle > everything else garbage.

I love my trans am but that ferarri probable wasn't attempting to beat him. Trans am ls1's usually run 12.9-13.6 bone stock depending on the year and tranny. That ferarri is way faster But the ta did get the win light. Lol

@ZakTizzy ummm think about it bub in a short blast the T/A would win. The 360 has a much higher top end its geared differantly. Them ferraris are quick but they are much quicker in accelerations from 70 to 100 mph where the T/A is geared for out of the hole

@gypman921 I will give you that the Trans am is faster off the line but thats just the result 1 of a slowly geared engine and a crappy gear box because it does have more horsepower thus giving it faster acceleration later. But a Ferrari 360 spyder doesnt run a 14 realistically thats a result of a crappy driver with too much money

trans ams are 13.6 quartermile on paper.on asphalt its different.sometimes faster sometimes slower.depends on conditions.the ferrari is faster topend.but trans am will get to 100mph quicker.

@crestfallenode I agree actually the Ferrari is pretty much faster but American Muscle is pretty much what you see on dragstrips most often. I mean I've seen Ferraris, Lambos, and Japanese cars (which is cool still), but when you think about Drag Racing I think either top fuel Dragsters or American Muscle. I still wish I owned that Ferrari though.

People, Wake Up! This Ferrari is capable of probably low to mid 12's. The Driver Sucks. Here's news: A stock 2009 Nissan Maxima (a fairly fast car, but breakfast for a Ferrari) pulls a 14.2 second quarter mile, which would beat the Ferrari here. Even an '09 Sentra pulls a 15.3, which would make it a contender to beat a Ferrari?!?!? I don't think so. The driver here just totally sucks. He would have been beat - literally - by a Camry. Gimme a break.

FYI - Car & Driver rates the 2009 Nissan Maxima at a 14.2 second quarter mile. Granted the Maxima is a fairly quick car, BUT NOT FASTER THAN A FERRARI 360!!! This driver SUUUCKS. He literally would have lost to a stock Maxima. Even a 2009 Nissan Sentra pulls a 15.1 second quarter mile....which would mean a Ferrari can beat a Sentra, but not by a lot. Bullshit. This Ferrari is capable of probably low to mid 12's. Stock. Wake up people.
