There's no politically correct way to clearly state the nature of this war. The language is being outlawed internationally as we speak. Iraq wasn't such a good neighbor under Saddam, but i wouldn't go so far as to say Iran's reaction to that is an act of aggression. Germany has a long history of a good relationship with Iran and that is their neighbor, not the United States.

To find the roots of all these regional conflicts today one need look no futher than European colonialism in the 18th and 19th century, and Islamic colonialism for the 8 centuries prior. America acts in our interests, yes, but as the greatest force for good in history is often called upon to intervene on the part of our allies, and those too weak to protect themselves also(when it suits us).
