I SAW THEM LAST NYT.mashaAllah they have an amazing talent alhumdulilah. but they are both reverts refering to the comment that ku was born muslim well actually we ARE all born muslim but you get wat i mean they said they met in high school and thats at the time wen ku was getting into islam then it was francis. they had a guitar player scotty who isnt muslim tho last nyt but they were all mashaAllah very nice and oh so VERY talented.i love their Lyrics it so real and not superficial mashaAllah.

I agree the cause is good and i'm glad that there are many artists singing pro-islam songs and yes 'our youth' definitely need to get back on track rather than a) becoming 'radical' or b) turning their backs on their religion (spiritually not literally) (: but i prefer to be safe than sorry until i finish the Quran and can translate it myself.

I deleted over 6GB of music from my laptop. If they're not muslims why did they play at Islam Expo?

I've been trying to get to the bottom of the whole no-music thing in Islam for a while... i searched on sunnipath and various other websites but it's a resounding yes - it's haram. Which confuses me because take the example of Sami Yusuf - he seems like a practicing Muslim and one with a strong imam but he uses SO MANY instruments!!

Bottom line, whether or not it is considered nasheed, its cause is nothing but good. I dont care what it is, if it takes a boy band and an album to drop to get our youth back on track - let it be. Our Ummah is weak, very weak.
