What a bunch of tools on youtube. shut your yaps and argue through emails if you want to pretend you know what you're on about. no one wants to read your stupid shit.
Hello, here in Brazil we have not had this issue with the RD350 fairing only lighthouse, because it only started manufacturing in 1986, already with full fairing, but I had the opportunity to call and sit on a 85 model like her, that she was sorry imported and as our laws, after being exposed had to be burned, but we had nine years of RD350LC and RD350R today RD350LC restore my 88 years, congratulations, your RD is beautiful.
I blew my engine out last august on the highway cause my 88 rz had stock carbs and jetting. Not to mention the 5 of the 8 bolts holding the sleeves to the engine block were gone. Got new pistions and pins (the old ones looked like some one stabbed them with a screw driver) re bored the sleeves new bearings. Waiting for the cam shaft to come back cause it had play sideways, put it all to gether and get back out. I love these bikes. Nothing beats the gas and oil exaust clouds they pump out!
@sinster555 The Power valve wasn't in the engine moron. Its in the beginings of the exahust pipe. The whole Idea of YPVS is so that RDs and RZs could have a little more power under 5500 Rpms. The power valve regulated the air escaping from the engine and convered it to power in the low rpm range. Next time you want to be a keyboard bull learn your facts
@Marshall498 really?......you should seriiously look into this before u tell others they are wrong. Yes its right infront of the exhaust pipes but its still in the engine case and still in the engine. Go ahead and tell me i'm wrong, i guess my 88 hasn't really been working cause i shaved down something else that wasn't the powervalves infront of my exhaust ports.
Perfect. I never had an RZ but had an RD that was mint. Your bike you should never get rid of, I want one to go with my Ninja 650R -- had to get myself another parallel twin :)
But I think the RD was a 360 crank, right? Ninja is 180. Some TDMs are 270.
nice bike, the jetting i use is 25 pilot jet and 330 main jet and then 2 turns out of air screw then play with needle hieght, i am using a 2 into 1 air filter and carbon tech reeds with jim lomas expansion chambers i have just finished my rebuild check it out search for rz 350 rebuild once again excellent job
I sold my, snif, it's Ok I will get another one, I like the RD350 LC better...
