I used to watch both shows on this very channel (WNYW) when Fox was a brand new channel. I also remember Werewolf: The Series and Women in Prison. Second Chance turned into Boys Will Be Boys. I loved that Halloween episode of Beans Baxter. I was so pissed when the show was canceled. Kurtwood Smith was great as Mr. Sue. I've wanted Beans Baxter to come out on DVD for a long time. Tracy Ullman's show was also great as was Married With Children of course. They showed many Godzilla movies too.
Second Chance was the first joint, and then they spun it off to Boys Will Be Boys when the time travel angle got played out. Beans Baxter was the shit, too. My favorite episode was the halloween joint when yo brother dressed like gumby, and all the kids in the neighborhood were dressed like Gumby. All of them niggaz had differently sloped heads! The best line, delivered by beans, was, "you shoulda been a pokey." I still say that dumb shit 'til this day. Good post.
@Emcedric64 Jonathan Ward who was on the first season of Charles In Charge as a kid. I'm not sure if he's still acting. I saw him on B'way in Peter Pan with Sandy Duncan in the 80's.
faustian refers to a wider interpretation of the events of Faust by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. In part one of Goethe's Faust, the central character's pact with the devil allows him to have energy, life and youth, for as long as he does not become so entranced by the passing moment to wish nothing will ever change. When Faust stumbles unthinkingly into that wish, his world and his life are forfeit to Mephistopheles.
the only thing i rememebr from this show is his dad in a car explosion or something
