we pay £1.40 a litre! £6.30 a gallon, thats about $11!!!!!
when u run the VE pump on veg oil it changes the advance curve due to viscosity changes evidently as fuel pressure is used to advance the timing also the seals expand and shrink differing amounts depending on fuel!
tell me how u get on as I have an old ford 1.8idi diesel. with ve pump.
I remember this video. A classic! I always enjoy watching videos that I have seen before. I always find something new in them again. Good information as always. One of my favroite channels since the day I started youtube. Stay safe Jeff.
@nightblade18m I made a video about locating vehicles. Good deals are sold in 48hrs usually. You have to check daily to find them. When I'm looking I check 4-5 times a day.
I found a diesel 4x4 Isuzu Pup for 3300 this nice. It was gone in 24hrs off SF Bay CL.
Man I need to get a car like that, here in Canada we pay 1.02 a liter, so it's getting crazy. I will have to sell the 03 Chevy Impala, love the car and love American cars, Have an 81 Canaro, but I don't use it much...it's for fun, I bought it when I was 17, but I need a car to move around in and the Impala is not it ...so sad...I think I going to look for a 04 jetta tdi, what do you think about that car??
@wildnutria VW diesel vehicles are well made. I prefer pre-97 models, but in your location they may be hard to locate, hence my plans to return home to Ontario with this vehicle. Fuel prices will continue upwards, and taxes on fuel as well.
@veritasfiles I'm leaving asap and will tow this behind the Econoline. I thought about buying a enclosed trailer for my stuff, but this made more sense.
VW Diesel Rabbit is vare hard and rare ti find in that condition It appears to be in excellent conditon with very low miles for a diesel. You going to flip it or keep it.? I would probably keep it myself. Take care.
@whereispg Yup...I'm known around those forums as Doggchop. Been a VW guy forever...Yahoo Diesel Vanagon Forum too. Some of my viewers are from there. And VW Van FullTimers on Yahoo, as well. Lotta friends from other forums watch my vids.
I have owned many bugs...I was thinking about purchasing an early kombi, panel or single cab as I have not owned any buses...NO MONEY though...8) all money went into a cash money (foreclosure) home purchase and silver...soon though, God willing. All is not really that good down here in Miami..But God will provide what basic we do need in life!
Sweet! I am lovin the Rabbit. I have been looking for a local VW Rabbit Diesel Truck to mess around with. I love the Gas Milage of them. Those make awesome Grease Cars. Great buy, Jeff!
Shit bud we are up to $3.39 a gallon in Anchorage. It f'n sucks! And on top of that my GMC Jimmy took a dump on me haha. But yea, sweet ride man. Ride that bitch till the wheels fall off!
I had a 1984 diesel rabbit. It was still running while the fork lift stacked it at the junk yard. I had a couch sticking out of the back going down the road. Great car you have there Jeff!
I used to have one in blue! Dig the surf racks dude:))))) You really think I should sell my luxury van ....waaaa only 10 miles a gallon but I love it....
Great buy Jeff. I had a similiar vehicle, an 85 Golf VW, 5 speed diesel that got 50 plus mpg. You have a very reliable vehicle that is easy to work on.
@Yankeeprepper It may get more than 45. It seems low miles. I wonder how many were towed behind the RV? Maybe the motor has under 90K. No smoke. No leaks. Very please with it.
You got that right, man! I won an old '69 Chevy Shortbed pickup on Ebay last year. Had a rebuilt 350 small block, Turbo 350 trans, very clean body, I mean not a dent on on the body. Theres a little rust on the rocker panels and the firewall but very clean for a 40 year vehicle. I got it for $2700, and only one other guy bid on it. I couldn't believe it. I thought it would go at least into $3-4K. It's been a little restoration project I've been working on. Keep up the great videos.
