I just want to thank everybody that puts up this kind of music on here. This is what I grew up listening too. Music that not only sounded good, but it was from the heart. You can feel the passion in songs like Nobody Falls like a Fool. You can tell he's been there and done that. Again, thanks, today's country music is so watered down and diluted that I can't stand to listen to it.
This guys music was way ahead of its time, thats why he was often overlooked in the country scene during the 1980s when things where bigger than life, had these songs been released 10-15 years later, he would have been as big as Alan Jackson. When everyone was trying to be bigger, Earl Thomas Conley was just busy being real, and thats why he is my all time favorite country singer...
@izerd43 It's ok, Earl Thomas could beat them up and that scared the crap out of them. ETC is alot like Chuck Norris. I'd like to see Ron Paul run for President in 2012 with vice President Earl Thomas Conley!
@hectorsalinasisback id vote for that if RP had a chance. and not get obummer back in. BUT id vote for ETC as pres. and RP as vice. a regular guy needs to be in, not a paid liar. aka politician. although ive got alot of respect for RP
@scoobchik Earl Thomas Conley looks just like actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Compare their pictures side by side and you will see. Like Jake, Earl Thomas is a sex symbol. Modern country sucks and has lost all masculinity and soul, so we turn to the legends in country music.
Damn what a great song!!I was a young boy when it came out but its sill just as good as it was then runing around barefoot eating watermellon and havin a ball!!!
great music!the only place i hear this kind of music is on rawhide on 951 on dishnetwork, they only play the old country music!! thanks to all who puts vid,s on youtube!!!! i listen and watch a lot at night when all is quiet and i can go back in time when this kind of music was great!!i,m 73 now but still got good memories!!
i worked with earl way back in 1983. OMG!! what a great voice. i was his MC. that was in Bradford, pa. i wonder if mitch, his road manager is still around?
You can turn on the radio and listen to a lot of good singers, but every once in a while you'll hear one with a legendary voice. A voice that stands out in the crowd of country singers. ETC definately has one of those voices! Great song!
I have this dvd. Just forgot to find it and play it. Now, I know why I bought it in the first place. This is one of my favorite songs by Earl. He has such distinct voice. Very sweet song.
Where are todays ETCs? music died in the 90s. long live country music. nobody knows conway or tgraham brown or vern gosdin anymore. Our kids must learn through us. Carry the torch!
excellent singer. My teens were filled with his awesome songs on the radio. Still remember when a friend of mine I haven't seen in years asked me if I'd heart "Heavenly Bodies" yet. Takes me back....
This song is tugs at the heart...nicely written but the performance here by conley is first class.
