我媽小時候會唱者歌給我聽。

I remember my mom singing this song to me when I was a kid. It helped me get to sleep. I also remember TT dying and my mom sobbing about it. I was around 8-9 when it happened. But this song is a serious classic, I can garuentee you that most people know this song in one language or another be it Japanese/ Taiwanese/ Mandarin (I'm ½ japanese/ ½ taiwanese…. living in the US) they at least know the beat. Its a good song, seriously.

Then we have 鄧麗君 to thank for. She was the "de facto" original singer of the contemporary edition of this old song. I still favor her rendition over others who had covered this song since her passing some 16 years ago...
