Long story short, the Manchu tribes took advantage of the situation and took over the country when it was at its weakest. Thus they established the weak and backwards Qing Dynasty.
im not much of a critic but...this history isnt even complete...when you say short i was thinking a quick run through...you named the first emperor said nothing more then he was poor then he was in a rebelion then he was king...you didnt say anything about Yongle, Xiande, or his son mentioned maritime exploration but not Zheng He. You didnt even finish the empire. It was a quick telling of the origin and then a run down of innovations...sorry if this offends its just not what is headlined.

It reaffirmed the obsolete education system from Song dynasty. Killed off Science, sea trade, and capitalism started by individuals. Overall, China began to fall behind of Europe at this period combined with extensive corruption, spying programs and 100 years of farmer's rebellions. Qing dynasty simply adopted all these and took it as their model to rule.
@UnitedPebbles easy, imagine ur the ming emperor whom the national treasury is bankrupt (due to corruption from pretty much all of your officials) and you killed some of ur best generals in the country, coupled with 3-5 very well organized powerful rebels in the south, and your armies fighting for you without being paid, and to the north your very own general who guarded the great wall sided with the manchus so is your armies. no surprise the last emperor committed suicide with his entire family

@375258307 说的好，但是所有你提的都只是只知其表，不理我下面提到过的根本原因。半个明朝都是在镇压农民起义中度过的，如果西方国家那时开始侵略中国，后果可想而知。只能说明朝是中国历史的幸运儿，把封建制度灭亡的下场留给一个后来的少数民族。葡萄牙在台湾就是一个开始，不管你那个民族统治着中国。中华民族闭关锁国在永乐以后，已经根深蒂固，只看重农业，不发展商业和科学也是明朝君王统治的中心思想。再加上继承宋朝程朱理学的洗脑忠君教育。 不难总结，清朝只是继承并延续了275年一个必定会灭亡的中国的社会和政府体系。清朝一系列丧权辱国的行为只代表一个国家想要保住中国2000年皇帝制
