In Canada we have had two Commisions look at Marijuana, these were members of the Canadian senate, politicians, so not pot activists etc. Their conclusions for both were to LEGALIZE. In Canada we have had two Commisions look at Marijuana, these were members of the Canadian senate, politicians, so not pot activists etc. Their conclusions for both were to LEGALIZE. Our Canadian Government ingored their conclusions, why? Well IMHO it is because the Canadian government is afraid of the reprecussions of the USA.

Chong violated the law and was imprisoned, it really is that simple. Chong and his supporters try and make it out to be some conspiracy and that the government wanted to use him as an example because he is famous. By the time he was arrested, Chong's career had declined and it's doubtful many people remembered him.

The reason why DEA agents cant find a bunch of weed even when the owner of it tells them where its at, is because they know only how to find extremely large quantities of drugs. Like when they go down to Central/South America to make their periodic purchases to bring back for their national kingpin operation. They know exactly how to find it. No, that's exactly what growing up is, admitting failure. Since the 70s we've spent over a hundred billion dollars in total on the drug war. The results are that drugs are stronger than ever before, and easier than ever to obtain, so we've failed. So why continue to waste money when we can regulate and tax it?
