7300? Hmm... I'd say you'd probably be able to just run it at low settings, it would probably lag a fair amount also. Don't take my word for it though, you'll never know until you try it, right?
yeah tons of people play Crysis wars online, I was online last night and the game is freakin sick. I've got a 9600gt and would say that the graphics, and gameplay are way better than that of cod 4 and cod waw: I mean on what other game can you smash a chicken in the face at ' maximum strength', in 'stunning HD', lmao you just dont get that with other games.
I have 4 GB with ultimate and when I do nothing it uses 35-40%. When crysis is on then 80% and more. So if you have more, than vista takes more and run faster. Simple
Hey what's with the Crysis Wars server? There's sweet f... all people playing. Was on last night, there about 40 in total across 3 game servers. Also, they need to get the punkbuster thing sorted out. No good playing when you got "superman" (unlimited strength jumping) and "flash" (unlimited speed) racking up 95% of the other side's kills. Decided to time out with FEAR multiplayer last night-was an absolute blast.Comments would be appreciated. Cheers.
Depends on target distance and if you playing mp or sp. Medium to short distance use red dot sight cause it doesn't jump around. Far distance use sniper scope with maximum strength to steady scope. Use assault scope only as poor man's sniper scope. In my mp & sp experience red dot scope much better for medium distance especially if multiple targets involved.
Yup, was surprised myself and couldn't figure out why people kept sniping me until I saw someone else cloak and pass by. Can't recall if this was back in Crysis as well but first time playing MP on Warhead, it caught me a little off guard.
No it is not going to suck but a crossfire mobo is not needed if you are going to get an nvidia card. You could get a single pci 16 2.0 slot mobo instead. If you get a crossfire mobo and want to upgrade to run 2 graphics cards you would need a new mobo(sli) and 1 new card or 2 new cards(ati).
Well I wish the person who helped me build the pc would have told me that. But overall will this game run pretty smooth with my specs? I don't know why you would say I need more ram if I have 2Gigs of DDR3
Crysis loves ram, If you have vista, vista loves ram too. 2gb is not enough for both. But your 8800 has 1 gb so that helps. Windows vista likes to use about 1gb of ram so if you have vista then you should add 1gb of ram for sure. You should be able to max warhead with dx9 but I dont think so with dx10(maybe with lower res you can). You wont be able to use AA either.
Ok well since its not too late to cancel the order and change the mobo, Would EVGA NFORCE 680i SLI CHIPSET 1333FSB DDR2/800 SATA RAID with 2Gb of DDR2 (windows xp) be a better choice?
With windows xp you can not play with dx10. But it is not as memory hungry. ddr3 is overkill with that cpu socket, there are not any cpus that can really use it to its potential. If you want a p45 I would recommend a single slot pci expressx16 slot and ddr2 ram. The ASUS P5Q LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard Supports ddr2 1200(veryfast).
Vista generally uses 1 gb of ram. 32bit editions of vista only support up to 3.5gb of ram. But games like ram too so to use vista and game modern games you need 3gb+ of ram.
Yeah, 3gb seemed to work for me when I had 32bit vista home premium but when I had 2gb of ram I had quite a few game crashes and bad framerates. when I upgraded to vista64 and 4gb of ram my minimum fps in crysis went up 5fps more than I had with 3gb of ram.
I just orderd a PC with these specs, please let me know if it will run Crysis smoothly. Core™ 2 Duo E8500 CPU @ 3.16GHz, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 1GB 16X PCI Express, Intel P45 Express CrossFireX Chipset LGA775 FSB1600 DDR3/1600 Mainboard
You should get at least 1 more gb of ram. I dont know how well an 8800gt will manage either. If you are getting a crossfire mobo you might want to get an ati card. Warhead runs more or less ok with my specs but I think I will get another 4870 for cf or sell my 4870 and get a 4870x2 so I can game at 1920x1200.
its not a technical problem, you get the same performance but you may have wasted money if youre not planning on buying 2 ati cards later, thats why he noticed the crossfire thing, nvidia cards can only run together in sli. but as i said, if youre planning on keeping that rig for a while and upgrading some time later, then theres no problem at all
how do you join multiplayer

yeah there aren´t as many server as in css e.g. but always around 10 server (germany) with 30 players
marty5667 2 years ago
I play IA mostly. In the evening is about 10 servers with 2-15 players, in a day its only about 3 servers, it sucks.

Vista doesn't use 1 GB of RAM, nothing close to that.
Mine is Vista Ultimate and with no apps running it uses about 20% of my RAM, which is 2 GB. Now do some maths.
And the thing about needing 4 GB to operate comfortably, it's crap.

Would you use SCAR with assault scope or sniper scope preferrably?
Sackrelije 3 years ago
assault scope, the accurcy is not good enough to bother using the sniper scope for the range, unless maybe you change your fire rate to semi auto.

Ahhh gotta remember Vista comes in 64 and 32. It's the 64 that doesn't like anything under 4gigs and supports up to 8.
FatalFist 3 years ago
Vista 64 ultimate supports over 100gb of ram. Either way 2gb of ram is not enough for vista and crysis.
BabylonfallN 3 years ago
I know....but if you have 32bit vista (like me) it only supports like 3.5gb, meaning 512mb is wasted :(
