you're hair doesn't look thin, it appears really thick but i don't know. I have thin curly red hair thats noticeably thin. It's a pain in the ass because red hair is suppossed to be thick, it's the thickest type of hair a person can have, and i'm stuck with this thin clump of hair. my friend riley tells me it only feels thin but appears thick, and my hair is very beautiful, but everytime i see a picture taken of me, it's the first thing I notice and it really puts me down at times.

I have genuinely thick hair, but I'm really jealous of people with thin/fine hair because mine is too thick that it take such a long time to wash, style and i actually get hotter more easily. I'm half Italian so i have A LOT of hair.. it sucks so you guys who have fine or thin hair aren't missing out on anything. But if you do want thicker hair some really good things to do are eat a healthy diet and take a lot of vitamins ;)

@TheStellaMaison I used to have that problem also. I let my curls cool completely before touching them. Just go around your whole head and then come back to the sections you curl first. Then you can spray them with hairspray. Let that dry on and then you can touch them and style them. Haha. I hope that helps!!! :D

I actually use the same products(pantene and treseme) except I'll have to try to the suave product. My hair is shorter than yours and I kinda want that look too where it looks wavy like that but I'm not sure if I should to the same because the bottom layer is short. Any suggestions?

@char198225 you can try leaving the curling iron in for less than 5 seconds so the waves are less 'curly' and therefore wont be as short

My hair, looking straight in the mirror without styling it, rests about on my collarbones. I have no idea what size my curling iron is, but i think its about the same as what your using. Im not sure if its just my hair or the tool, but my hair DOESN'T hold curls. I curl my hair with my straightener sometimes because my curling iron doesnt seem to work..Am I making a bad choice in curling irons or is it my hair? Its pretty fine but not too thin..

@Kiwisghoulx it could definitely be the brand. ive had crappy curling irons in the past that doesnt hold a curl even 5 minutes after leaving the barrel, no matter what styling products i used. i'd use a flexible hold hairspray after each curl while continuing to use your old iron, if THAT doesnt work, its time for an upgrade :)

@vegaandrea2sexii my hair is a little bit longer than yours and i use a 1-1/4" for really soft yet sturdy waves, because a smaller barrel will give you an 80's perm look which isnt really cute haha. 1-1/2" may be a tad big for your hair and cause too loose of waves which would just fall out since its long and thick (aka heavy). id say 1-1/4" but turn up the heat a bit- if you use a hot tools one like mine, probably keep the heat on 7 or 8

Thank you for existing! I have fine hair (though a lot of it lol) and I've always found it almost impossible to style it. Since watching this tutorial, I tried it on my hair and it looked great! Got a lot of compliments from friends and random strangers lol!

@beautybuff820 try using a hotter iron, or holding in the iron for longer than a few seconds. as long as you use a protectant and dont use the iron daily, using something hotter for the desired effect wont fry your hair totally.

I tried this last night and it worked GREAT. I live in Alabama, the most humid place ever, and everytime I try to curl my hair it falls within minutes. What sucks about straightening/curling irons is you HAVE to burn yourself a few times to start with in order to learn how not to burn yourself.

I never know what to do with my bangs when curling, curl them in or out, curl them at an angle, just add a slight wave. Its always a dilemma.

@Pooglepersone12 One way is: bobby them back in a side sweeping motion. Looks like side bangs but they're bobby-pinned so they're not all in your face (: And gently spray with hairspray and pat them down just a little. Not too much, cause they don't look nice when they're too flat. Hope that helped.. that's just what I do when I'm not in the mood to keep having to push the bangs away from my face (: Another way is you could do a little poof.

Nope its a regular curling iron with a clamp. You can use the clamp for pin curls or wrap it around like I did for loose waves. Up to you :)  I would not buy a clamp-less iron because its not as versatile.

Don't shave it! Your hair sounds pretty :) Work with your curls instead of against them....maybe buy some serum and a good volumizing hairspray (I like the Rave or Aussie) , you can try scrunching your hair with the serum and then spraying so you tame your curls into glossy waves :)

i have super thin hair too...i think mines thinner than yours actually! and you should really get the herstyler...it doesnt have a bar to clamp the hair down...its AMAZING! i comes with three different size bars and it reallllllllyyy works! its kind of pricey though..its like 80 dollars on amazon
