lol. i love the comments on here. Yes, the standoffs for the mobo are not showed being installed, which imo, can lead someone who is not sure what they're doing to make a big dumb mistake. Also, the case is way too cramped, and cases with the power source mounted on the top suck. Good cases need mesh tops or available space to install exhaust fans in the top. gets rid of a lot of heat real quick. And cable management would be hard in that case bc the other side doesnt open route the cables.
Apologies for making another comment, but you said, "Don't forget the optional power connector" for the graphics card. That is incorrect. If the graphics card even has a power connector port like that, it REQUIRES that power be connected or else it will not function. It is not "optional."
That's a case of "if necessary," not "optional." Optional means by definition that it is not necessary, but you may do so or use the item if you want to. That's what he should have said for installing a separate DVD burner, now THAT is optional. The power connector to a graphics card is *not* optional.
I was surprised by something. The video is obviously recent, and so is the hardware, but listed as a "requirement" is a separate "DVD writer." DVD-ROMs have doubled as burners for years, and the only reason to have a dedicated writer is if you are producing a lot of DVDs with graphics on them.
Also, the thermal compound usually comes on the fan that is included with the processor, depending on what you buy. The cooling solution for the processor is overkill unless it will be overclocked.
Building a computer is fairly easy once you get familiar with all the pc components, main things you would need is PSU, Ram, CPU, HDD, CD Cdrive, CPU Fan, And All The Wires, Sata etc, the case obviously,Mobo obv, and thats it really, wont specify because cba.
No. When building a PC, having any static on your body can damage the parts. You should always be grounded when handling computers by touching exposed metal like that of the inside of your case, or using something like an anti-static wrist band.
Very true, but what is interesting is that despite putting together a lot of PCs, working on a lot of PCs, and knowing lots of people who work on lots of PCs, no one I know, nor I have ever at any point in time encountered hardware suspected of being damaged by static electricity.
u never showed how to put a processor -.- please i want to put a new processor in my computer that i got today but dont no how please tell me or make a video
he did! with that bit he showed you how to place a processor in a zero force slot. You know, the bit where he placed the thermal paste. By the way, thermal paste is optional if your processor+cpu cooler is brand new.
ive had a lot of people come to be with fried mobos because of being idiots and not putting stand-offs too. you'd be surprised at how common a mistake it is.

So you don't have to change anything in the bios? Another thing that's confusing is setting up Raid.
Epsilon0703 3 years ago
There's loads of videos on how to put everything together but there's nothing about what you have to do after that.
Epsilon0703 3 years ago
nice going guys, if anyone followed this they would immediately fry their motherboard when starting up the computer.
PLEASE PEOPLE remember to use motherboard standoffs and insert them onto the case before mounting the motherboard!!!!
AcidPython 3 years ago
This particular case has in-built standoffs, so there was no problem with what was done.

I ALWAYS put in drives before I mount anything in PCI slots. Less chance of screwing up cards/capacitors.
