Great song, great artwork in the video. Deathspell Omega are one of the greatest bands to ever exist; their lyrics are very intelligent and well thought out... In fact, it's more philosophy than lyrics, really!
Well if it's an extension of a another album then that makes sense. But I have do disagree on your number of tracks theory for I have many albums with 5 song or less, all of which are considered to be full length albums.
Don't know why this is considered to be an EP. I mean it's 36 mins long, a mere 7 mins shorter then Fas-.Great stuff tho. The best Black Metal band on the planet!
Well it is seen by the band as something of an appendix to SMR,C so technically it is an *extension* of that album (and hence an EP). Also there are only three tracks present on Kénôse so I don't really think it can be classed as an actual album even if its duration is quite long for an EP!
@GoldenRatio Not long enough for a Deathspell Omega album. I think it can be considered as an EP. I may buy it in the near future, because I own "Si Monumentum Requires, Cricumspice", and that's a piece of dark Art.

For me Deathspell Omega sometimes seem to create music other bands only can wish they were be capable creating. Its hard to imagine how this music is written. An 'LP' or 'Long Play/Player' is deemed to be 30mins or more. 1 song, 2 songs, 45 songs.
I'd class this release as an album but i guess it's up to the band themselves.
EP is just 'Extended Play', deemed too short to be an album but longer than a single.
It all comes from vinyl. Limited space to cut grooves etc.
