What do you mean? Because she happens to sing 4 out of 12 songs on the album that were written by someone else? Some people don't write any of their own music. well. she claims to have written all of the songs but two herself. and she did four covers. she didn't write see you again. and then she had a professional help her.

which means miley can't count or was just confused at the time.

I am not sure where you heard this. There are plenty of interviews available where she speaks about this album in general. I heard her say she wrote 8 songs. She didnt write this song, breakout, girls etc and these 4 walls. So 3 covers and breakout, which isnt a cover since it was written for her on this album. She did help write see you again. She does occassionally contradict herself (but then who doesnt?), but these are the general facts supported by info on the album itself.

You know I dont actually know who the song was written for originally. However, Katy did record a version and then the writers gave it to Miley. So as of right now Katys version is just on youtube and not on any album per say.

now, how much she or the other writers actually did is another question.
