No perído em que Bach viveu, as pessoas que consumiam café eram mal vistas. Era quase que usar uma droga ilícita.

Dizem alguns historiadores que Bach escreveu essa cantata por não concordar com essa visão tão negativa sobre o café. outra possibilidade é que a cantata foi encomendada por fazendeiros para promover a venda do café. Fala de um pai, a filha que é "viciada" em café. Ela diz ao pai que só deixará de tomar café o dia em que ele achar um bom homem pra ela se casar.

This clip is found on the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra DVD of Bach's Brandenburg Concerti. But, this clip is played on MODERN INSTRUMENTS AND NOT BY MEMBERS OF THE FREIBURG BAROQUE ORCHESTRA.
