The guy in the television reminds me of critic David Denby who thinks he knows all the answers to the world's stupidest problems, but in the end is a joke. However, Roger's death is the saddest I've seen in a horror movie and the more I watch the scene with the TV people fighting and the music in the background, I get emotional in choas. Peter's burial of Roger makes it even sad as well.

Well what you need to realize is that this movie was made in 1978. That was over 30 years ago, a time with completely different standards. Back then, this was one of the scariest movies around. This is a sad scene in the film when Roger dies. I think that he was a great character in this film. Please I'm a big fan of Scott Reiniger. Can you imagine if they let him live like Bub in Day of the Dead? I don't think that that would work though.
george romero is the pioneer of this genre, 28 day's later was a good film but the fast running zombies seemed to be influenced from dario argento's demons, i hope diary of the dead is good because land of the dead was a dissapointment, the original day of the dead wasn't bad but they seemed to try and replicate some of the characthers from dawn of the dead
well that's the thing though. Romero's zombies are dead and rigor mortis causes their muscles to stiffen which makes them slow.. 28 days later they arent dead, it's a virus that doesnt kill them, just makes them get homicidal crazy
Dawn of The Dead remake was a bit more exciting and faster paced than the original which is to be expected the original might bore todays audiences but the overall zombie apocalypse/takeover translated well into the 2004 version but it happened much quicker than the 1978 original.

I did hate the running zombies. But todays moviegoers would not be scared, frightened, or excited by dawn of the downsyndrome dead. The Romero zombies are/were good for their time but everything is faster paced these days. The 1978 dawn of the dead was more satirical and had themes of social commentary about the collapse of modern civilization. The remake was just plain gore action violence entertainment.
Definetly, Diary of the Dead is 100% Romero so I'd expect him to continue on with his tradition of the slow moving undead cannibals which he innovated and created. Diary is also I think going to be a prequel or side story to NOTLD filmed in a Blair Witch Project amateur documentary style.
Roger was the most gung ho, but a bit too wild and careless. Notice how this crazy scientist inspired Frankenstein from Day of the Dead.

man i would love to star in a romero zombie movie,not a main character maybe as a soldier.who is kinda bad but then you see hes a good guy underneath,that harsh exstera but gets eaten by the zombies.i would have to die love to get eaten but go out taking alot of them with me.that would be a dream

This is a sad scene in the film when Roger dies. I think that he was a great character in this film. Please I'm a big fan of Scott Reiniger. Can you imagine if they let him live like Bub in Day of the Dead? I don't think that that would work though.

george romero is the pioneer of this genre, 28 day's later was a good film but the fast running zombies seemed to be influenced from dario argento's demons, i hope diary of the dead is good because land of the dead was a dissapointment, the original day of the dead wasn't bad but they seemed to try and replicate some of the characthers from dawn of the dead

well that's the thing though. Romero's zombies are dead and rigor mortis causes their muscles to stiffen which makes them slow.. 28 days later they arent dead, it's a virus that doesnt kill them, just makes them get homicidal crazy

Dawn of The Dead remake was a bit more exciting and faster paced than the original which is to be expected the original might bore todays audiences but the overall zombie apocalypse/takeover translated well into the 2004 version but it happened much quicker than the 1978 original.

I did hate the running zombies. But todays moviegoers would not be scared, frightened, or excited by dawn of the downsyndrome dead. The Romero zombies are/were good for their time but everything is faster paced these days. The 1978 dawn of the dead was more satirical and had themes of social commentary about the collapse of modern civilization. The remake was just plain gore action violence entertainment.

Definetly, Diary of the Dead is 100% Romero so I'd expect him to continue on with his tradition of the slow moving undead cannibals which he innovated and created. Diary is also I think going to be a prequel or side story to NOTLD filmed in a Blair Witch Project amateur documentary style.
