now download the imgtoll and click on open there is player click (om models gta sa directory) than that o (you downlaoded it) click on commands and replace open the skin then that click on commands and click on rebuilid archive. "yes" and start the game. soory i don't speak verry god english i'am a bulgarian I hope I have helped.
I think that you cant change the cj skin into the army but who knows? I know nothing about modiing.I wanted to try so I downloaded optimus prime skin and it doesnt go I think it wont go to change cj skin
You need a skin selector; you don't just mindlessly modify files. I sure hope you backed up, google search San Andreas Skin Selector and you should be able to get things sorted.
you have to download this thing IMG TOOLS after that open the file and select " find" then it opens a window, search the item that says PLAYER.IMG, open it.. after that,u will see that your mods have a TXD. and a DFF. items, well, search those items in the player.img, they will be there, then with the item selected type in the option COMMANDS,after that, type replace, it will open a search window... search your mods and replace the old files with the new ones. then select REBUILD ARCHIVE. :D

how to install and use it
1. you must have skin selector
2. you must have IMG tool and open folder called gta3.img
3. replace the skin with what you want
4. Rebuild Archive! Its important for not getting crash in game
5. wait until loading is done
6. now start the game and push the button "tab Q E" to activate skin selector
7. now click at "LMB normal peds" then you can find the skin that you installed is work fine.

nothing happens when u replace army.txd and dff in gta 3.img bcoz it replaces the army in san andreas.not cj.the files in player.img replaces cj.
