@chairleg67 I beg to differ my friend. I was inducted into the US army in January 1970. At the induction center at Gunter Air Force Base every 5th draftee was inducted into the US Marine Corp. At that time we did not know that you could be chosen for marines. Also, November 1970 we took over marine combat operations out of Danang. We were flown into combat assault missions on marine helicopters, they moved us up the coast to the DMZ on Navy ships. Just so you know I was impressed by the marine

It's very silly how U.S marines in 'nam were almost all poor and low-classed young men who were FORCED by the upper class and rich people to go fight for them, and rich people and their sons didn't have to fight at all.. A great way of bringing capitalism into a zone where the communists are taking over, eh? If I was a vietnamese at that time, I'd sure have joined the N.V.A, even if I'm disgusted by communism and it's supporters.

I used to, but I gave up and actually think of war more like natural selection, because if the infections are being wiped out there's not much left to kill us off. There are too many humans, we're just an overgrown disease, the pinnacle of evolution in the animal kingdom.
Which will eventually overthrow itself.

@chairleg67 I beg to differ my friend. I was inducted into the US army in January 1970. At the induction center at Gunter Air Force Base every 5th draftee was inducted into the US Marine Corp. At that time we did not know that you could be chosen for marines. Also, November 1970 we took over marine combat operations out of Danang. We were flown into combat assault missions on marine helicopters, they moved us up the coast to the DMZ on Navy ships. Just so you know I was impressed by the marine
