Leadership as a point of sacred trust - agreed. However, leadership can be in so many different places in our lives that we play 'leader' in multiple organizations and places - how do you determine where to give and where to let go? There is a point in time where a hierarchy of leadership in one's life must be determined, where self-leadership must subordinate all others. 'Sacred' is more than a sense of responsibility, it is a recognition and reverence for the most important things in life.
From the man who gave us "WOW!"- this is a "WOW!". "The decision to lead is the decision to be responsible for the growth and development of your fellow human beings." In 2004, I had the privilege to work for Tom himself. Tom taught me, coachged me, cajoled me at times to be better, to push beyond to do my best- Tom Peters still is a leader in the true sense- a person in whom I still trust to develop and challenge self and others to stay the course and do one's best. Thanks, Tom- Pam Brill
