  • is this an expasion will you need to buy shogon total war 2 for this to work or could i just by fall of the samurai?

  • @thecandyman9999 It's a stand-alone.

  • I am so makring a last samurai vid when I get this

  • Hope they do a Rome II after this one...

Medieval and Shogun got a sequel, and Napoleon is almost the same game as Empire.

Rome was the best Total War and sure deserve a version on today technology.

  • I LIKE "TOTAL WAR SHYOGUN2".

BUT, THER FACE LOOKS LIKE KOREAN.

SPECIALY, NINJA FACE JUST KOREAN FACE.

  • @HyarariHyarariko Are you retarded? The first inhabitants of japan likely crossed over from Korea, and at several stages in Japanese history great numbers of Koreans were brought into Japan.

  • @Unahim I can understand what you say.But ancient Korean culture does not have much in Japan. There is inpact of ancient Chinese culture . Korean Peninsula is the path of Chinese culture. Some Korean says "The Origin of the Japanese culture is the Korean peninsula. This is a brazen story. Aikido, judo, kendo, samurai, katana, anything !

They are dissemination to open a dojo in the West Europeans and Americans.I wanted to say that not Koreans madethe culture of Japan.

  • wait a minute! that wasn't Tom Cruise

  • People, what does total war games have in common? Well for one it only works (so far) with swords and muskets/matchlocks etc, but the real base of the game is rank based warafere, where huge amount of people fight eachother based on ranks and formation, this disapeared after WW1 and every war since then have been based on a totally new system of warfere. Therefore in order to make a WW1 or WW2 game from CA would have to change the way their game has been played since their first Game...

  • @skuggedreper That is one of the reasons they WONT make a WW1 game. That, and the fact that people will go mental, raging on them for being historicaly incorrect.

  • @mikkel1940 Thats exaclty the enthymeme of my comment, thanks for stating the obvious smartass xD

  • I find that it would be interesting if they made a total war game that was not set in just one time period, but took place over a series of ages. Something like Civilization but I doubt it would happen as that would be a huge game.

  • yo people i hear this is acctualy the last thing they are doing to shogun 2 total war

and after this fall of the samurai expansion they are working on an all new game

there is a chanse it is rome 2 total war , rome fans can now hope and cross thier fingers

  • @1236sason heard the same, and apparently there's a boer war/ww1 game in the pipe line....

  • @1236sason From what Ive heard, its not rome, a brand new game is what's comming up!

  • They should make an American Civil War total war game. But have other factions in it like mexico and european countries. Thumbs up if you agree

  • @11196Alex I think they could do Victorian: Total War first. It would start from the year 1840 and end in 1900-1914, just before WW1.

It could include the Scramble of Africa, the Crimean War, the rebellions in India and the occupation of Egypt. FOTS would be the perfect base for this game, as it has locomotives, Gatling guns and modern rifles.

American Civil war is a great Idea, but since it only has two sides, it would be better of as a DLC campaign.

  • @BlackTemplar43 Dont forget Boxer Rebellion.

  • @BlackTemplar43 I'd love to see a Total War: Victoria followed up by a Total War: America civil war-based expansion. I imagine it'd be like the Peninsular War expansion for Napoleon.

  • @BlackTemplar43

About the American Civil War you suggested

Creative Assembly could go for an alternate history spin, and make the states fight each other for supremacy, like the other total war games

No Confederacy or Union, just New York vs Alabama vs Georgia vs Virginia vs Florida, etc

  • @BlackTemplar43 also another good idea : precolonial western africa. it would involve the rise and fall of Ghana mali Songhai/ the influence of islam vs traditional religions, the treath of berber dynasties invading across the Saharah, the growing power of the tuaregs and of course the growing influence of western firearms and the kingdoms that benefitted. it would be extremely original and when done right could easily become a classic

  • @BlackTemplar43 Creative Assembly called, they want to hire you for your ideas.

  • @11196Alex go away

  • But where is Tom Cruise?

  • Kim jong il total War!

  • Waiting for Rome 2...

  • uhhh, epic !!! :D <3

  • @Foroneworldunited Hey fuck you you cunt; get off of YouTube, we don't want your kind here, and u Hermaphrodite

  • @ValdezJamie100 You spread spam and advertise like a conman on the comments section, wasting bandwidth that could otherwise be useful; it is clear YOU are the one who needs to fuck off.

  • @ValdezJamie100 Go kill yourself you spamming cunt!

  • @ValdezJamie100 Go back to India!

  • "As the industrial world is born..."

We're coming closer to the modern era guys! :)

My guess is that best case scenario a 20th Century Total War is going to be released within 5-10 years along with a new engine so as to accomodate modern warfare :)

    WWI TOTAL WAR

    WWII TOTAL WAR

    COLD WAR TOTAL WAR

    BUSH TOTAL WAR

  • This reminds me of how technology progresses over time,as a new sword is made,a new shield is made to defend against it. Then a new sword to to break that shield.

That is what we call technological progression.

  • Looks great...but hurry the fuck up with Rome 2 already!!! Rome was a classic and is one of the best Total War game in the series...

  • Though I am desperately waiting for Rome 2. This looks freaking epic.

  • I vote just nuke them??

  • Yeh i went ahead and got the Ninja faction, not only cuz ninja agents are kewl, but i like the uniform colours more over the other 2.

Also my moneh is on that Rome 2 is next, but i would rlly like to see a total war that takes place in china.

  • where is tom cruise?

  • 0:48 Is that a lever action riffle?

  • Ironclads eh? That will drastically change naval battles.

And I'm very interested in how railroads will change moving through provinces.

  • hopefully the AI wont be shit and wont gang rape you for once in a total war game

  • @ZoomZip AI that's shit and STILL gangrapes player? We might be in for more than just shameful displays, gentlemen.

  • @N0hN4me lol. Everytime they come out with a new total war, they say "YES WE HAVE CHANGED THE AI TO MAKE IT BETTER BLAH BLAH BLAH" .. always gets my hopes up, and in shogun 2, i get attacked by 10 archers and 3 melee troops. GOOD JOB CA

  • @ZoomZip I'm not sure how long you've been playing RTS games, but it should be a given that for any RTS or TBS the AI would never be as competent as players. I hear those announcements all the time, I don't even acknowledge them.

  • @N0hN4me The AI can't be very shit if it's gangraping you.

  • @MrBoBoTom I know right?

  • so this is a new game or just a dlc?

  • @MrTinkhuu Expansion-priced ($29.99) but you don't need the original game.

  • Rome 2!!!

  • I have a feeling this game serves as both epilogue to Shogun 2 (obviously), and a prologue to future games in the series that'll have an industrial setting (WW1, WW2, etc.).

  • inspared with wilf last samurai

  • THEYRE GONNA HAVE A 3RD PERSON MODE!!!

  • The Last Samurai

    Had to be said

  • Seriously, i need that trailer music.

  • @ShiroYogarasu

It's probably in-game soundtrack for the expansion.

  • @RogierV2 let s hope so

  • take my money

  • I hope the game doesn't turn into "The Last Samurai" TW version. The shogun's armies (including Samurai) used guns and artillery.

  • @lulzcoaster Why not? Movie's battle scenes were pretty epic.

  • @yrabeiro Agreed the movie was epic. But, a Total War game needs to be historically accurate (to some extent). And also, the gameplay would not be balanced if an "imperial clan" could just destroy the "shogunate clan" by using the Gatling gun and artillery.

  • @lulzcoaster True, true. But that's why I referenced the battle scenes rather than the movie's plot itself :D I think (read: hope) the reason that they have guns this time is because the Japanese are still so new to those large heavy weapons that they'll be balanced compared to the fast-reloading bowmen and the fast-moving cavalry.

I just hope they don't get as complex with this as they did with Empire. That game was nearly unplayable :/

  • Wow in my opinion the trailer looks better than Rome Total Wars... but I don't know about the gameplay. The guns seem overpowering :/

  • I want to see World War 1-2 TOTAL WAR game

  • @petar4onachev Impossible since all fighting was fought with advanced weaponry and armed combat, barely any melee.

  • @counterstrikenerd321 .....and?

  • @airgilbert it would be impoissible to control. way to much micromanaging, and they just do guerilla warfare, which is even harder to control

  • @petar4onachev You ever hear of the term "trench warfare?" The closest you'll get to that is Company of Heroes, a total war game would be boring in that era.

  • @yrabeiro Try Warfare 1917 on Armor Games then tell me that a WWI game would be boring.

  • @stateoffun Played it, but there's a difference between a 2D sidescroller and a full on 3D Total War game. The world was already split into 2 superpowers, battlefields were stagnant, and it's too complex to manage infantry-artillery-armor-air all at once. I would never even pay $.99 to have Warfare 1917 (or 1944 for that matter) on my phone, let alone $50 for a game with that design.

Once again, the closest you're gonna get to a true world war game is CoH or maybe World in Conflict

  • They should add Tom Cruise to that add game.Make your games playable on Mac.Don't say it's not doable.

  • As Rainbow Dash said, "It's gonna be SO AWESOME!!!!"

  • Next CA game: Taiping Rebellion

  • I don't remember Tom Cruise having mutton chops.

  • Comment removed

  • @ValdezJamie100 your friend's mom an online stripper?

  • @ValdezJamie100 Hey fuck you you cunt; get off of YouTube, we don't want your kind here.

  • Damn you Clan Obama and your high taxes!

  • There's so much in this video that's historically inaccurate :(

  • @Murderiser10 Since when was a TW game 100 % historical accurate ? get over it.

  • @Murderiser10 No TW is mosty accurate so dont be an asshole!

  • the last samurai !!!

  • The locomotive's piston doesn't move when the train arriving, this is the ghost train!

  • @viriya333 The tracks are just really slippery. The driver braked about forty miles away ;)

  • 5 years later:Total War Shogun 2 vs Aliens

  • Exclusive faction packs?

    SHAMEFUR DISPRAY!

  • @RogierV2 They will eventually release them like they did with the Hattori Clan.

ATM I'll buy it boxed because I already have the full OST and don't really want to spend 30 Euros...

  • @RogierV2 they stooped to a new low by doing this.

  • It's Tom Cruise all over again!

  • Now this is DLC worth buying.

  • Give us rome total war 2 already.

  • @killlerkan08 Gotta milk that cash cow with a nickle and diming DLC sales scheme for every last drop of cash you can get first, my good man.

  • @killlerkan08 As much as I want to see a Rome 2 Total War. I rather see an Total War: American Civil War game first.

  • @DJ118USMC ho yes that would be nice to see french crush apart england on america soil like they did befeore but this time france would have send renforcement

  • @killlerkan08 Creative Assembly has no intention to make Rome 2 because they have developede coast bombardment, steel ships, rail roads and more. I personally believe they are headed in the direction of Victorian total war or WWI. I too want Rome 2 but it just doesn't look like its going to happen.

  • @jkhuskies09

CA developed a naval battle system for massive ships-of-the-line, realistic artillery physics, and matchlock warfare for Empire and Napoleon, then went back to make a Shogun sequel. I agree that they will most likely follow up Fall of the Samurai with a Victoria Total War game as their next big-name title, but I also fully expect them to follow that with a Rome sequel. Also, the railroad system can easily work in Rome as a roman road system instead.

  • It's for what system? Just PC? Sounds me like a 3DS game, I dunno...

  • @AndromedaBeta you're a little behind on the current market, I see. Total War: Shogun 2 is something like the sixth entry into the series and a direct sequel to the original. Fall of the Samurai is a downloadable add-on for Total War: Shogun 2. This is a PC only game, it always was and probably always will be,

  • @rafllz Fall of the Samurai is actually a stand-alone add-on to Shogun 2.

    It's like DoW2: Retribution.

  • @AndromedaBeta How is this ANYTHING like a 3DS game?

  • This is The Last Samurai

  • This looks epic! Perhaps a 19th century version of Empire: Total War could be next...

  • Next Total War in XX century pls pls pls :)

  • Fix Shogun Total War 2 first. I dont care about any DLC, or stand alone expansion of any kind. Fix the damn multi!

  • Give me a sword....

  • Ahhh I dont know which edition to chose!

  • OH MY GOD THIS' AWESOME

  • I love Total War
