I think Sid was just trying to be civil with not just the American fans, but also the players on the ice as well. The participants of the game participated in the greatest hockey spectacle to date. The American silver medallists were 2 days fresh from a heartbreaking defeat at the hands of Crosby. My American friends also told me that the American audience of 10 million strong was comparing the game to Miracle on Ice. Kudos to Sid for handling it well, on top of the crowd booing Canada's win

I didn't mean for my comment to come across as Americans in general were unclassy. Im MY opinion I think it lacks respect to boo. You're right, the bashing goes both ways. Believe me though, if the roles were reversed and the US won, I wouldn't boo Miller. Why would I? He's an amazing goalie and the entire team deserves respect. Sorry if I offended anyone. I hope your opinion of Canada isn't that we're a bunch of tools. :)

@GhostWalker40 When a country hosts the olympics, no matter what country it is, the people who are there are obviously going to consist of people from that country, and that is going to mean more people screaming (Cheering and Booing) for the country that is hosting it. It was like that for every Olympics, not just the one in Vancouver. And how were we classless for every sport? I don't know what you were watching but that was not the case? Hockey was the only time they booed
