I used to love this show so much! But the cpb logo right before it used to scare me. The background was so dark and the announcer's loud voice in the background didn't help either. I think I was most scared of the version in this video because of the announcer. Doesn't bother me anymore though

Now Thomas is computer-animates, which I think takes out the magic of the stories they tell. And the narrator now is horrible in my opinion. My god, I LOVED this show! I was never a big fan of Thomas the Tank Engine, but I loved the in-between stuff at the station with Mr. Conductor and the kids. I always found it odd that someone like George Carlin would do a kid's show, but it simply shows how talented a person he was. Definitely my favorite conductor on the show, as well as one of my favorite comedians when I became older. RIP Mr. Carlin.

Also, the theme song never fails to make me a bit teary... that and the theme to Babar. =P
