@tremanator411 No, "Indon" is not the correct way to short term of Indonesian. You can try to call Indon at Indonesia... sure people will hate you. The correct short term is "Indo" as many Indonesian student also call Indo as well.

Regarding your maid, she/he just don't know, if you good enough, you should correct her/him.

Yes, most of them treated nicely, but also many of them treated badly. it depends on who is taking care of them.

Safee is not malay means the race is not malay, but he is malaysian means hold malaysia citizen.

Ok, I think I explain wrongly in my previous comment which says Safee is not malaysian. but the term "Asli 100% (=Original)" is not correct.

And Gonzales is not either javanese, minang, batak or any one of the races in Indonesia, because he is Uruguay. But he holds Indonesian citizen.

@mARBOmARCELO "indon" used by Malaysian to call an Indonesian maid... this is serious issue whereby Malaysian Government agreed to not use the word "Indon" anymore to call an Indonesian. However most of Malaysian still use that word to insult Indonesian.

@mARBOmARCELO And sadly Indonesian at Malaysia sometimes call themself using that word also, because they don't know and just follow what malaysian call. hopefully if your friend, family or even indonesian using that word, you can advise them.

For short term of calling Indonesian is "Indo", this term has been used for many people in the world. For example the Indonesian and germany generation we call it "Indo-German".
