I was chatting wit a friend of mine other week i we got onto drumming an were talking bout your vids! and we wondered which was the hardest drum parts for you to do? my mate said brianstorm an arctic monkeys in general would be hardest but i reckon its the hives espec this album coz some of the drumming is so intense for the whole song? and was wondering if you could answer the question for me?

The Hives drummer has alot of tricks up his sleeve and plays with a ton of strength. Theres no wide open hi-hat skimming using lazy 4 count measures in addition to alot of crazy crossing and rock solid meter. Good job

very very nice! you're a very good drumer! this song isn't the hardest of the hives, but to my mind i think you can try to play queens of the stone age's song like "little sister"!

it duz SEEM sped up at times but if you pay attention to some of the smaller detail you'll see that this isnt sped up. ex: the cymbal on the left moves normally after being hit. and if it were sped up, i don't think the cymbal would ring that long.

its not really wrong its just not the way the Chris "Dangerous" plays it. His right hand is always on the hi-hat while the left hand is doing all the work. your way saves energy but its not the original way.

Yeah, I noticed that on a video, but at the time when I recorded this my tom was way too high for me to reach it from the snare with my left hand, so that's why I had no other choice but to switch hands on that stroke.

You recorded at half speed then doubled the playback. It's so obvious, look at the beginning and when you hit the crash on the left; it takes like 1 second to recenter

You're really making a fool of yourself here, it's not recorded at half speed (or any lower speed) yet you claim "it's so obvious". The "recentering" of the crash takes more than a second, plus that depends on how tight the cymbal is set.

Besides, the song is not even fast enough for someone with basic drumming skills to want to record it at half speed. On top of it all, I wouldn't even know how to do that whole process you're talking about.
