I smoked for 9 years. Took 1 week to quit and that was 3-4 years ago, haven't smoked since. Patch itched and was irritating and gum was disgusting, so I pretty much quit all on my own with nothing.
That explains your lungs. I suggest doing diaphragm singing exercises by EricArceneaux to spit out all that residual junk. It will really help you in body, voice and emotions too!

I smoke and workout... it's stupid, however i like the way the cigarette rids lactic acids, supresses appetite, keeps my body from bloating after a workout. For me, quitting was very easy. I simply did not want to smoke anymore. That is. I simply didn't want a siggaret. If u realy don't want to quit, it's going to be hell. If u realy don't want to smoka at all anymore, you can do it. So motivation IS the key here

I seriously don't understand what is people thinking when it comes to smoking. At least when you eat a pack of fries or burger, it tastes good even though it's unhealthy, but smoking is nasty, so what is the joy, I really don't get it. These exercises are such a killer even for a regular guy, so I hate to imagine the pain of a smoker doing it. The hard breathing will make you feel like you are dying.

Sugar hurts you...combined with coffee you crash harder than just caffeine. In fact, if you only have 2-3 or 4 cups average, you don't really "crash" from coffee if you live healthy, i.e. no sedentary and exercising in a good manner, like her, and eating well. She obviously eats well, or she'd have died already after that kind of exertion. Most people hurt themselves just watching her workout that tough. Beauty, strength, leadership, brains. I'm hooked. :)
