  • My bird freaks out when I am changing his toys. I am constantly changing them so knows how to deal with it. Different colors, shapes. Sometimes, I introduce the toy near the cage/perch and slowly move it into his cage. He is only 2 years old.

  • its a funny one time thing :]

  • Lol, when I saw this video, I immediately thought: "This owner seems to love his bird, but I am SURE there is some comment flaming him because he caused his grey to growl." People are so touchy on youtube. Birds can become terrified of weird things. If he only did it once and stopped after he realized the bird was afraid of it, I don't see a problem with it. You can see the grey trusts/loves the man because he climbs up his shoulder for safety.

  • i knew parrots are dumb!

  • People should go easy on Zeduchess. At least it shows he loves birds and he does know when they're scared.

  • Aww my parrotlet used to do that when he found something fluffy. He was never frightened of them. He'd sit on them, nibble them and occasionally bite them hard lol Even though parrotlets are only 5 inches in size..they think they're bigger than anything xD I loved my parrotlet to bits..he was my little companion..sadly we lost him due to an unknown illness :'/ I miss him so much </3

  • That's mean y would u put it in the birds face if he doesn't like it??? Poor birdie!!!!

  • The guy is obviously an idiot! Why even bother posting such nonsense....

  • Maybe the dude in the video needs to be in the cage instead

  • Thats really great. Stress out a bird that CURRENTLY trusts you for the sake of making a supposedly funny video. Well done.

  • I love the whole bunch of random fuck-holes who assume that they know everything that is going on in this guy's life.

He says this was the first and last time (3 years ago) and yet there are still fucking idiots popping up and making an ass of themselves, you should all mature a little before you post stupid comments like that.

It's obvious to this guy that the bird is afraid but he doesn't look like he's trying to scare it.

  • When he sees the squirel from any distance, and just shows that he knows he's there and DOES NOT SCREAM, give him his favorite treat. Repeat this process once or twice a day ONLY, slowly moving the squirel closer. It will take time, but the bird will associate the squirel with a treat. Show the squirel, when he sees it, say good boy, then give him a treat. Only once or twice, dont over do it.

  • You should keep the toy in its cage until it dies from fear.

  • My Grey does that whenever a little kid comes up to her cage (unless they have treat in hand)

  • fucking asshole

  • greys only growl like this when they are scared or terrified of something.

  • ITS OK?im pretty sure that was not the first time you were doing it.

  • lolzzz

  • If you leave the toy where the bird can see it all the time and investigate it at its own leisure they get okay with it. My bird bit the hell out of me the first time she saw my digital camera.

  • My parrot does this to a Hoover he's scared of it because he thinks it's going to hurt him! Parrots are normally scared of anything bigger than them or anything they don't recognise!

  • That noise scares the hell out of me !! AHAHA

I was taking a purple swiffer out of the drawer to start cleaning and mine he completely flipped out on me.

Turns out he absolutely hates purple

He looks like a baby try to get him play with pretty much everything that way one day you don't hear that I''ve been doing that alot but he will never go near anything purple not even when i wear a purple shirt.

  • lol

  • I'd take that as a big "No thanks, not interested...."

  • @TheGwynnSmith thats a "nicer" way to put it :P

  • stupid guy bothering the poor bird, he doesn´t now how to deal with animals specially birds, its like come on guy live the poor bird alone dont make it sad or scare him, get a life!

  • @TheArnaldo10 fuck u dont no shit

  • lol that is too funny, but kinda scary too. I'm kinda afraid to get a larger sized parrot because if it's cranky one bite and your finger pops off haha. But I have 3 lovebirds right now 2 I raised from their eggs.

  • Hahahahaahaha, crazy ass birds :D

  • aww

  • Animals That Look Like That Squirrel Prey On Birds In The Wild. He's Hardwired With A Natural Defense Mechanism. You Should Be More Understanding.

  • my african grey does it to big things like a erm, anythin really

  • holy crap dude it screches not even like a little, it goes all out lol

  • yea there like giraffes in a parrots body my greys neck was lonngggg and there black tongues xD

  • and who says birds aren't dinosaurs lol

  • My parrot does that....Haven't tried showing him a teddy, but she hates little kids!

  • Wow what a dick... he apparently does not like the teddy.... Stop antagonizing him and get away from him asshole.

  • greys are shy of everything, but if you keep them over-sheltered thay just become more and more phobic.

bet that grey was happily attacking and tearing bits off that toy after a couple of days.

  • hahahahah my african grey actual goes wild if it sees a teddy bear...starts pecking it

  • 'Wow' is all I have to say.

  • i think u better get rid of your teddys

  • my african grey does the same with my sisters teddys!!

i think its the eyes!! lolz

its funny but my bird like crys and wants to be cuddleded after

  • After a couple of times you show him the object he will get used to it.....(PS....l use different objects like so......when l want my one to get back his cage when he is does not want to go in....lol...

  • Holy shit.

  • LOLOL. Trex roar xD

  • its ryan reynolds!!!

  • "ittts ok" lol

  • lol!!!

  • lol! bwueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh!!

  • is a squirrel a predator 2 the parrot, that might of been why it was scared,i dont think you did this intentionally 2 scare your parrot,

  • not to worry i hav read about it all baby greyz r afraid of new toyz ,etc.... the solution 4 this is first show him the toy from distance nd play with the toy like its a gud thing but dunt give it to him repeat 5-6 timez but dunt give him aftr that slowly take it near 2 him nd the trick will work,,it worked on my bird!!!!

  • Poor little guy. :(

Now put up a video of him ripping the squirrel to pieces, haha!

  • If its soo bad why watch it... Its not like he does it every time he walks past the bird.. He learnt its afraid of it, I doubt he'll do it again... Leave the guy alone. Keeps your feelings too yourself. For the sake of us and the people viewing your stupid comments...

  • that was the first time we showed our bird that dog toy squirrel and that was the last asshole. we love our bird and would never hurt him or terrorize him.

  • Holy cow, these people have nothing...

  • yeahhhhh you're an incompetant fool Zeduchess time for you to shut up now. o___O How were they supposed to know if the fuckin' toy would scare the bird or not until they showed it to him. If the bird made that sound, one investigates it further to see if it will continue. Grow a fuckin' brain you tree hugger. e___e They're not out to scar their poor widdle baby for christ's sake. Go fuck yourself and comment on a video that needs attetion like the dog that a guy is starving just for "art"

  • Go eat yourself! First off,you know nothing about me.I don't live anyone where near tree huggers, thus I am not into that save the enviroment crap. Two,I've raised these birds for over fifteen years,so I'm not new to keeping these birds.I do know what I'm talking about and anyone WITH a brain would see that was NOT a normal reaction, but a reaction of fear.I don't blame the owner for not knowing the difference. But,it's still not funny, whether done innocently and even less funny if done purposely.

  • Hug a bird then...Michael Jacksons has one between his legs. :D

  • I agree 100% with you. The bird feels threatened and that is not something that he should continue to do.

  • PLEASE DO NOT scare your bird like that!! AGreys are very skitish to begin with, they need your love, time and trust, and will be the 1st to reward and thank you for it. Not funny dude - stop it!!

  • I totally agree

  • oh wow. hahaha. its gonna get him/her!

  • thats funny.. our parrot does the same
