    nice song

  • heard this song first time on the latest Country Music Awards :)

    nice song

  • She should be crowned America's Sweetheart.

This song proves you don't need lots of money and wealth to be happy and have love for one another. True family values and a good up-bringing---PRICELESS.

  • I wish that every kid today, could hear these words and take them to heart. Maybe they would learn to appreciate what they have today. People used to have to do without, and they still had love and laughter in their hearts....today, if they have to wait in line at the fast food drive thru, for more than 10 mins they go bonkers.

  • I wish I was a coal miner's daughter!!

Unfortunately, my anatomy doesn't agree with that. ;-)

  • I would give up all my beauty, wealth and even my angel of a husband if I could sing like Loretta Lynn. And people say I am a dead ringer for Angelina Jolie.

I love the film, I wonder if it's on CD video to buy on Amazon? anyway, after seeing the film in 1981 I went out and got the record album and sang all the songs on it to my grandmother nearly everyday! She must have had a lot of patience for hearing me sing over and over again! I think she loved the songs!

  • @evyfluffy I actually think Sissy Spacek sung Loretta's songs better than Loretta herself in that movie.. Seen it a few hundred times myself though lol

This ought to be our National Anthem, or close to it.

  • @silverexplosion Thanks, and same to you. I guess you're right, the feeling really kicks-in about 2:38 when she says, "it's so good to be back home again." Wow.

  • @1tuuber because you miss the good old america. This song reminds you of old america. This country is not the same anymore. I miss the old america, I'm sure you do also. I'm sad also.

  • I grew up with this song. One of the best ever and it certainly reminds you where you came from when you listen to the lyrics. Everyone can identify with it in some way and it sure as hell keeps you grounded.

  • Necromancy

I had no success at all; until one night I was sitting in bed reading a book and who walks right through the wall but my friend, the spirit of my friend! And she said Im going to make you a very famous person in singing country music. she got out on the stage and she started to sing and right in the middle of where she really needed the power! And her spirit-friend tapped her on the shoulder and started to sing for her. She said, Her voice went through me, the power. Deut 18: 10-12

  • Great Country by a Great Country Singer! Loretta is real. We don't get much of that these days from Hollywood and/or Nashville these days. Seems a recording studio can make wannabe singers popular these days. Fake is in, but I choose to hang on to the real.

  • whats with all the hate this is REAL COUNTRY.

  • may god have mercy on her soul. R.I.P.

  • Yeah. Loretta Lynn was and will allways be a great artist of country music. Rest in peace Loretta!

  • MrSanookMark! Why do you insist on posting crap like this? Here's a quote directly from the Associated Press written 3 days before your dumb comment.

"Loretta Lynn feels 'great,' is recovering from flu

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Country music legend Loretta Lynn is "feeling great" and planning a trip to her home in the Bahamas over the holidays, according to her daughter Patsy Lynn Russell. Russell says Lynn will return to the U.S. in late January to resume touring

  • Yes Cody, you're right as I learned some minutes ago. Some days ago I read about her death somewhere on the web. That was a false report and I believed it too quick. Sorry for the crap that I've postet.

  • When I was stationed in Baumholder Germany, in 1983, a friend and me was walking by the movie theatre on post. We heard what sounded like live music coming from the theatre. We walked in and see to our surprise , Loretta and her band doing a uso concert, I fell in love with her, she sang a song about her son who was in the army bringing his friend home on leave. Her son later passed away. Ms Lynn will always be my favorite.

  • Iove her !! miss my mom sining her !!

  • This song tell so much about loretta. She is a wonderfull woman and and atleast a great country singer

  • There is no age limit to enjoying good music

  • 15 same deal :D

  • My wife and I were having dinner with Loretta after an appearance on the Mike Douglas show. I think I said two words all night. My wife, Irene and Loretta, on the other hand, did nothing but talk, talk, talk. You want real? Loretta is, without a doubt the most real, beautiful person I've ever had the honor of meeting. In case there are any doubts Loretta is the REAL DEAL. Listen to her and believe.

  • Not to pick a fight with anybody. But she sang about her life and what it was to grow up poor. If I remember right she wrote this song for her father. Maybe before anybody puts her and her music down why don't you try listening to the lyrics first. and also if your gonna put her down and her music then why are you even watching it?.
