  • It depends/Varies from place to place, Like where you live for example...

  • The epeed on you comp.Thats a problem with computer sucure setting

  • welcome to docsis 3.0 but your isp hasn't upgraded its upload capabilities. Also you are still sharing your connection with about 30 other people around you which is why you can do this at night. You probably have it all to yourself.

  • This is weird, my download speed is lower than urs, but upload is faster.... I have 30 megabytes per second for download, but 5.5 megabytes per second for upload

  • "CON-cast". I have economy speed (lol), but I'm suppose to get around 1MB/s.

However, every file that I download, regardless of where it's coming from is limited to around 170Kb/s. I NEVER seen a constant 1MB/s. It's not the coaxial cables.

When I had a different provider, I got around 2MB/s as it was advertised.

NOW tell me something, is Comcast made of shit!?

YES THEY ARE! FKNG COM-crap RIP-OFFS!

Oh yeah, and thanks for removing TV channels & raising the price for TV too! FKNG Assholes!!!

  • You sound like a Comcast worker.

  • ... I wanted to say that on average I'm downloading with 2.2MB/s... :)

  • My net is 19.41Mbps download and 10.02Mbps upload. Which means about 2.3MB/s download and about 1.2MB/s upload rates. I can usuallynlod

  • Sure you download speed is 85mbps but your upload is extremely slow so it doesn't really matter that your download speed is sky high is your upload speed is snail slow haha u should check Japan's speed it puts evryone to shame with their killer 2gbps speeds we just look in envy.

  • Comcast rules.

  • the task manager was only showing you at getting 12megabits per second. so whatever was happening your computer was still only detecting a 12megabit speed.

  • In South korea where they have the fastest internet in the world they are planning on getting speeds that can reach 1gbps by 2013. There internet is also far cheaper than ours.

  • @asianninja343 No, japan already has 1gbps for $60 a month

  • @slashbot99 really?

  • @wpizimp4u yep

  • mine is 1

  • that's only 8 to 9 megabytes per second...that first sight was in kilo not megebytes. but still thats still fast...

  • @romes2dam check your math romes... its 85mbps.

  • @romes2dam 8 megabytes per second is a 64 mbps connection, which is frigin FAST

  • Is it possible they are buffering the download test file at their local server?

  • wtf if this vid was done on the 22nd then how the hell does it say it was uploaded on the 21st or maybe im in a diffrent time zone or something..

  • jesus dude i want that speed from comcast :o

  • That does kick azz! ;) I'm in TN and we just got this new Docsis3 setup and I'm paying for the new 50Mb pack and I hit speeds normally all the time of 62.50mbps Down and 19-20mbps Up every run. But sometimes occasionally I've seen it slam speeds at over 250+mbps down but never over 20mbps up! It's nuts! :) mainly when I hot these crazy speeds it's on my older XP machines that have been optimized using the TCPIP optimizer free tweak program :)

  • something is not right it has to be reading it wrong

  • HAHA, I got 1MB with Elite AT&T!

  • The reason u get over 100mbps is most of the times sites like that test from your modem not your pc

  • @Sliffer21 Comcast at the time didn't even have 100mbps or 50 mbps!

  • i get faster speeds farther away also but i have verizon also one of my computers get 104mbs and we are paying for 25mbs but that computers internet is extremely slow and it gets 104mbs all the time

  • I've never found the flash speed tests to be accurate on the higher speed connections. NDT (Web100) or FTP Tests tend to be far more accurate.

  • God i wish i had your net -.-

My net is reaches nearly 5 Mb/s download and almost 0.3Mb/s (When im the only one using it :(

When all of the computers in my house are one i get almost 2Mb/s download and 0.2Mb/s -.-

  • The new comcast plans (Xfinity) plans will cost $299 and it will download up to 105 Mbps and upload 10Mps so have fun when they charge you! :)

  • If he was downing at 70MBPS, it would take him 11.4 Seconds to download that 800MB Movie. The speed is in Megabits not Megabytes. 70mbps is 8.75MBPS. Don't get confused, just thought I should let people know. :]

  • Megabits of bandwidth not megabytes noob.

  • the fastest where i live now is 10mbps :( its not comcast but its chatmoss (which is horrible and drops out ALL THE TIME). At the highway (3 miles up the road from where im at now) Danville (city near me that runs fiber up the highway) has speeds upto gigabit!!! (if ur a buisness but i suppose that if a resident is willing to pay the price they would let someone get gigabit hehe) their isp/network is called nDanville

  • I'm in jersey we have 100mpbs

  • 1000/100Mbps has been around for a while now... Gonna get it soon... I mean for Home. Note a f company, ok. Idk about USA, but here in sweden its very common with 100/10Mbps. 1000/100Mbps costs about 130$. And in sweden, caps dont excist.

  • Thats Because Google Chrome is Bulit to do that shit i have a 12mbps Through Mediacom Communications i Get Around almost 177 mbps downstream and upstream is 1 mbps i get to 50 mbps lol google chrome is a great browser

  • OWWOOWW!

  • this is comcast powerboost shit .. it screws up speedtest results..

  • my download speed is 50kbs

I meant it it is slow as snails

  • Comcast only offers 22Mb/s Here in Florida. WTF do they give in Mississippi!!! Dammit I'm moving.

  • Ours is 40 MB/s

  • mbps

  • Lol i got 724kbps for download speed and 105kbps for upload speed on a Verizon High Speed Internet Starter Plan. this is INSANELY SLOW. Considering into changing ISP's?got any Ideas?

  • did u ever download a file to check it also. a large file 100 megs or so

  • you have 20 mb internet or 100mb becuase that hecka fast speed

  • You also have to get the sb6120 modemn, which is the only modemn that will handle the new speed. All other modems are still 2.0

  • hopefully virgin media in the uk will get speeds like this soon.

they currently have 50meg atm meant to be at 200m in a years time.

  • So you still got that? You didn't mod your modem? No hacking or anything?

  • He probly did :P A friend of mine got 250Mb/s in england with modded modems :P

  • england,.. euro, countries always have amazing Download speeds! Lucky punks.

  • O.O

  • its comcast DOCSIS 3.0 powerboost the servers cant handle the speed so they give an incorrect reading

  • its because of your antivirus. when you do these tests make sure to disable it or exit out of it.

  • thanx for the reply. That is the only thing my netbook and desktop have in common(virus software). My work laptop reports realistic numbers. I wonder how my virus scan in doing that? I was thinking comcast secretly installed something on my system.

  • yea, because i have kaspersky on at the time and i get those speeds with comcast. but when i disable it i get the average 20/4.

  • @Ceezsa It must be a conspiracy =O
