Scott isn't perfect and has had a bad temper (except for DDP who deserved his ass kicked) but as a person he is way better than HHH. Scott in the early 90's was offered the WCW title on 2 occasions and a singles run in the WWF in 94, but declined all those times because it would have meant Rick's job would have been on the chopping block. That's a honorable thing unlike HHH who stabs people behind closed doors.

WCW finally started pushing newer, younger stars in 2000, but by then it was too late. WCW wasn't as hot as it was 2 years prior, and all the big names like Hogan and Savage to give a real rub to the younger guys were no longer there

I don't think in any shoot interview Flair was asked about Rick Steiner--I am not sure he would want to answer; there is a theory that a few years ago when Bruno Sammartino had a "sit down" with McMahon to try to mend fences; that Flair saw Bruno and got out of there thinking Bruno was coming to see him about the negative remarks Flair made about the Living Legend in Flair's book--then Flair spread the rumor that Sammartino snubbed him.

I believe it's in Mick Foley's book in detail. Basically, NWA booked Fujinami to win the title from Flair in Japan, but WCW for some reason decided that they didn't want Flair to lose the title. So under a weird retraction after the fact, Flair was awarded the World Title because at some point in the match he was thrown over the top rope which was illegal at the time. I believe Foley accused Flair of politicking the decision, but to be honest I don't remember who said what. However, since the
WCW owned the belt, Flair had a rematch with Fujinami in America with Flair having the belt I believe and at this point NJPW pulled out of the NWA and the Japanese no longer held Flair in the same regard because of this. I don't remember the details and could be mistaken on many points because I haven't researched this incident since 2000, but I do know that this really ruined a lot of relations with promotions for a while. Also it is believed that Flair orchistrated it, but again I don't recall

Scott isn't perfect and has had a bad temper (except for DDP who deserved his ass kicked) but as a person he is way better than HHH. Scott in the early 90's was offered the WCW title on 2 occasions and a singles run in the WWF in 94, but declined all those times because it would have meant Rick's job would have been on the chopping block. That's a honorable thing unlike HHH who stabs people behind closed doors.

WCW finally started pushing newer, younger stars in 2000, but by then it was too late. WCW wasn't as hot as it was 2 years prior, and all the big names like Hogan and Savage to give a real rub to the younger guys were no longer there

Steiner is telling it like it is. I respect Flair's ability (in the 80's that is) and he was great but he ruined his legacy by being a ass-kissing acolyte for HHH. I laugh at the people who bought that fake retirement last year on Raw. Flair is wrestling Hogan in Australia and basically cut a promo spitting on everyone one of the people who bought that crap. I don't think in any shoot interview Flair was asked about Rick Steiner--I am not sure he would want to answer; there is a theory that a few years ago when Bruno Sammartino had a "sit down" with McMahon to try to mend fences; that Flair saw Bruno and got out of there thinking Bruno was coming to see him about the negative remarks Flair made about the Living Legend in Flair's book--then Flair spread the rumor that Sammartino snubbed him.

Scott Steiner innovated moves that have never been performed by anyone else except for cruiserweights and is a legend in Japan. Flair is a joke in japan over the Fujinami incident. Sting made Sting a superstar. Ole Anderson admitted to making Flair World Champion so he wouldn't have to deal with him, because the champion in those days went to different territories and he wanted Flair the hell out of Georgia.

Flair was not on top once the nWo started. He had one last run as president of WCW where he became world champion, but after that he was pretty much done. I believe it's in Mick Foley's book in detail. Basically, NWA booked Fujinami to win the title from Flair in Japan, but WCW for some reason decided that they didn't want Flair to lose the title. So under a weird retraction after the fact, Flair was awarded the World Title because at some point in the match he was thrown over the top rope which was illegal at the time. I believe Foley accused Flair of politicking the decision, but to be honest I don't remember who said what. However, since the

WCW owned the belt, Flair had a rematch with Fujinami in America with Flair having the belt I believe and at this point NJPW pulled out of the NWA and the Japanese no longer held Flair in the same regard because of this. I don't remember the details and could be mistaken on many points because I haven't researched this incident since 2000, but I do know that this really ruined a lot of relations with promotions for a while.
